I think the droids would win this one. With limited heavy weapon support, only two tanks, and no close air support, the clones in a very bad position. The Seps have the high ground and are dug in deep; they've got two quad anti-air guns, which look like they can depress enough to hit the AT-TEs, plus two of their own tanks, a proton cannon, and the rocket pods either side of the door. I know Star Wars doesn't really use real-life tactics as such, but here's how I think the battle would play out, assuming both sides are commanded competently: The Separatist commander would get the AATs out of the base and use them to flank the Republic armor, while the bunkers and field infantry keep the clones and AT-TEs pinned down. I think the proton cannon can elevate high enough to direct plunging fire over the base wall, which would devastate the Republic advance. After shooting down enough Republic aircraft to ward off any reinforcements, one of the flak guns would depress to fire on the infantry directly, inflicting massive casualties; the other gun would continue tracking air targets in order to maintain denial of the airspace. The Republic would be having a rough time of it. With Obi-Wan wounded and Cmdr. Cody out of action to assist, the strike force's mission would change from destroying the droid base to defending the downed gunship and clearing the way for Combat Search-and-Rescue. I would have the walkers move forward until they're practically nose-to-nose, making a wedge pointing toward the droid base. I'd have the mass driver cannons target the rocket pods and the flak guns first, while the secondary guns take out droid infantry. Depending on which way the AATs flank, the walker on that side--if not knocked out immediately--would use its mass driver to take them out, while the other continues firing on the static defenses. If any infantry are left mobile, which I honestly don't think is likely, I would have them flank the opposite side of the AATs, fight through the droid line if possible, and scale the cliff face to knock out the flak guns or even through thermal detonators into the base and blow up the fuel tanks inside. If they have enough plot armor it just might work. Finally, once Obi-Wan and Cody are evacuated, along with the remaining troops, I'd see about getting a flight of BTL-Bs or ARC-170s and just leveling the droid base from the air.
Great video! It’s nice to see an imperial themed moc in the works, feels really refreshing. If you are open to suggestions, I would suggest adding a small imperial outpost or Waystation in the plains to spice it up al little. Keep up the good work!
