All the f35s and f15s are stationed a Lakenheath. They are training flights. Only the f22s are headed to the ME from Alaska with the stop over at Lakenheath for the night.
You can tell the US military wanted maximum publicity for this deployment as a warning to Iran. It wanted to show the US can deploy its F22 to any region in a short time.
I love how they have the huge radar reflectors on there even though they’re using massive unstealthy fuel tanks too. 😂 I’m assuming it’s to transport them so they can fly missions / training at their destination without giving away their true signature - much more of an issue when heading overseas closer to adversary nations. It’s also crazy how much shorter the F-22 and F-35 takeoff rolls are compared to the F-15’s. They also come out of burner almost immediately.
