I stayed at that property back in 2007 (recognize the pool). Went to another pool with a poolside bar and my gf was roofied by the bartender. Be careful out there….
Really enjoy the videos and feel like I learn something from all of them as I am not very good at the game, Having said that, the second hand with 4d6d was pretty much a punt from start to finish, no?
I saw this and was reminded about the worst cooler I've ever seen. I'm under the gun + 2 with Ace King. This is a tournament and blinds are 200 and 400. I bet 1600 and get my bet doubled by the big blind I call. The Flop is Ace King King. Big blind bets 4000 I call. Turn is a brick. BB bets 6000. At this point I'm starting to think I might even be behind here. I've played this person many many times, and this is precisely the way she would play pocket aces but I mean what are the odds? The river, no lie, is the case King. She checks and I go all in. She looks at me and says, "You have that King don't you?" and I said well it's going to cost you $40,000 to find out. She called because she had to see it.
These computer tournaments are no doubt very dangerous, you could be against a group of organized players playing in the same room with a commander telling all players how to play knowing all the hands in the room that could induce unfair raises knowing a player has the nuts or outstanding hand..
I’d be in a paralyzed state knowing I could just sit and probably cash for 80k more by not doing anything. I suppose that 10 river hand helps to push you along.
It seems like to actually win the WSOP there’s so much more luck involved than something like a cash game or a smaller tournament with good players. You have to survive so many All-ins and even if you’re the favorite you can still get cracked eventually
I know you are an ambassador with an image to keep, but you also need to stand up for yourself. Do NOT feel bad for speaking your mind. FU@K those guys.
If you're cashing a lot and get knocked out by a draw, you're playing it correctly. Nothing to do but shrug it off as variance like you do in cash games. You WILL get a trophy some day my good man. Keep your head up, and be proud of all you've accomplished and how far you've come!
I think to relieve your anxiety with a child and family I would recommend expounding upon your success by setting up a CPA office specifically enterprise is the fastest growing city in NV. You will be successful as there is a dearth of CPA in this area. You will help others as well as bringing in a non poker income stream.
That KK hand vs AA seems to be the norm for me when playing online. I just get coolered so damn often. Just the other day I was the big stack right after late reg ends. I min raise with AA. A short stack jams. Then a mid stack re-jams. I have like 80bb and the biggest all in is only like 30bb. So I call hoping I can hold. Short stack has KT, 30bb stack has J9. Flop was KJT. Turn is a fking 9. River is no help. Short stack (like 5bbs) gets a triple and mid stack gets a good size side pot and I'm wondering wtf just happened.
So tired of replays from you Brad. I am getting increasingly less likely to watch what you turn out, which breaks my heart. You were my favorite blogger by far and I soaked up your content like a sponge. Now it's 80% mailed in, replayed crap. What happened? ??
He had a child, which is a pretty big deal. I don’t think I’d be flying off to different places to play a card game consistently while my wife sits at home. I’d be home, sipping my income slow and enjoying life.
Loved this vlog and everything you included was either entertaining, educational or BOTH! I think you made the right call folding AK in the main; that's why you got dealt it again and made the $$!! Congrats B!!
