This is amazing! I wish I'd have discovered it sooner. We have some mixed plugins and in-house tools to do quests and dialogue right now, and it's fairly easy to work with -- but nothing like what you showed in this video. Next game will incorporate this for sure!
The way to design tine this so people get it is that it’s unidirectional . Data flows in one direction. There is no complex call backs, recursion etc. just a stream with data flowing through it and your nodes reacting to the data .
This is exactly what I needed and have been looking for! It is about 1000x better than the broken ControlFlow experimental plugin (because it is easy to use, allows branching, and isn't broken.) It solves many other problems, such as UI Dialog Flow, Scenario Flow, Character Dialogue Flows, Quests, Achievements, High-Level AI Tasks, Complex Logical Processes (i.e., Aircraft Startup Sequences, etc.,) and probably much much more. I have already replaced my startup Menu Flow in a single morning. My favorite part is how simple it is. Thanks so much!
snow fall plugin has the type of dialog editor you're looking for. maybe it's simple enough to integrate. alternatively, you could integrate yarn or twine support
