Even as a young girl, I enjoyed being outdoors. I remember playing outside and running around barefoot. I had strong feet back then! Growing up, my parents took me to Bucks Lake, the Kern River, and Mt. Laguna on camping trips. Living in San Diego, there were so many options of beautiful places to go. I think that’s where my love for nature developed.
Now that I’m an adult, I have really dived into enhancing my outdoors experience. I am an advocate for leave no trace and having a minimal impact on the trail. I like to think I have this big plan for my trips, but I have been humbled by nature more times than not. It certainly builds perspective and character.
My goal for this channel is to share my nomadic journeys with my friends and family. I am not an expert, but I have learned a few things along the way, so hopefully my experiences can help inspire others to put their trail shoes on and find their own peace on the trail.
Hi Nat. You should visit West Cliff Colorado. And if you haven't already visited Bishops Castle, you should. It's amazing. Good luck getting that mouse, I have one living in my truck. I think it's after my peanuts 😂
Lots of mint! Potted plants of it too. Mice hate mint. It got them out of our attic pronto. Edit: Fresh mint, even when it dries out will keep working. Put a handful of leaves in the cabinets, under the bed, etc. You won't smell it strongly but the mouse will.
😮😮 Oh no!!! So cold mouse moving on in and wanting to go on the road with you all. Hopefully he decides to go back in the forest somewhere. I am once again amazed by your attitude handling the mouse, tarp and roof leak.
Beautiful area!! Just wondering if you’re willing to share how you fund your travels? I would love to do this but I’m strapped down to sticks and bricks for several reasons. 😩
Hi Nat, They sall a tape for patching camper roofs it's called Butyl Tape It;s very sticky and has paper backing to prevent it from sticking to it self Try Home Depoe or Lowes deffintly a camper parts store or repaie shop they should sell it . That stuff is wonderful! Thabk you for the video I look forward to seeing them .
So cool , I'm gonna be in Cortez in September for a few days after leaving Sedona ( mountain bike road trip ) I'll definitely have to stop in Dolores and check it out .
Those little critters put the imagination and caution of the mind wandering if ya even see just 1 little turd because ya don't know where they've been. All ya can do is get under the camper and look for an entry point..(propane line..drain...water supply...etc) and deal with it appropriately. Then ya get to entertain the idea if they are in your vehicle and you transported it in something from the vehicle to the camper. I'll be honest...I have no humane thoughts when dealing with mice. They are too dangerous to humans with disease when left to run rampant. Enjoy your views. I'm a bit jealous at the moment because I can't take off yet.....😢.....but soon! Good job....God Bless....Stay Safe
it's been hit or miss with me and General mail delivery. Seems the smaller post offices are more helpful. Now to figure out how to get amazon deliveries that won't fit in Amazon Lockers. Glad you're staying cool/cold up in Colorado. I'm in Northern AZ now. It's not too bad, but I'd kill for flannel weather :).
Good luck dealing with Gus Gus... you need a blinky light for under your camper to deter mice from coming in. I had to put one in the engine of my car because the mice chewed the tires (I live in the woods). Glad I found your channel (thank Larry) look forward to your new adventures and be careful out there! Hope your back is better.
Hi Nat!, I have not commented before but have been subbed and watching since "Larry" collab. Hope you get that leak fixed soon, too bad Larry isn't around I'm sure he would help (As it looks like a two person job). When the top fell down on you I was really worried...be careful! LOVE your content keep perservering! Thank you and have an amazing week.
you should really go pick up some quality silicone sealant. if you can find some butyl tape and some self leveling rv sealant if the bubble is not cracked
@@NatMoran I'm sorry to her that. you might have another leak and it's running down and landing at the Bubble opening. you could remove the whole thing a replace it with a different type window or even just enclose it with something beautiful like Cedar boards. just an idea. good luck!
Thank you for another awesome video. You continue to show your resilience and hard work. Not everything is so easy and glamorous as some may think. You naturally share both, your struggles as well as your achievements in a well documented video. You're a natural, thank you and wishing nothing but the best.
Thank you so much! It's always so encouraging when I get your comments. I try to keep it real but also light. I wish I had the real when I was preparing for this lifestyle.
I do not know what kind of the silent you used. When I did my roof I used self-leveling caulk because with regular caulk you need to lift up the window frame and seal all underneath it and then screw it back down. Because caulk if you just do it on the outside will leave holes and gaps. Don't know if it will work. It did for me.
I used the recommended roof/window self leveling, and then I bought the 4in rv silicone tape. I was to a point where I was going to completely remove the window and smother the whole thing inside, too. It's hard to do that on the road with all the rain we've been getting. I might need to just find somewhere to do that, though. I'm over the tarp. 🫣🤣
Gorgeous scenery! I loved watching you fold your tarp. I thought you would just stuff it in the back of your car. Haha. Great job getting rid of Gus Gus and disinfecting everything.
Hi Nat, You've been doing pretty good handling that old a-frame! I have had two a-frames in the past 10 years. When I saw those walls fall on you, I was certain that you were injured. I'm so glad that you didn't have to go to the hospital. I noticed that your a-frame doesn't have any bungee cords attached to the back roof. They must have been removed before you bought it. They are supposed to keep the roof up in conjunction with the four corner springs. It also looks like the corner springs have lost their strength. Replacing those springs are a major repair and probably pretty expensive. But for the leaking sky light window, there are some fixes on the A-Frame forums and they are not very expensive. You will probably find some sealant at an auto parts store. I hope that you will have easier days soon.🥰 Pat
We own a 2005 Chalet, Aspen and struggled for many times to raise the roof. Now we each use a 6 ft. pole to push up from each side which helps a lot. We're 81 and 86 and must coordinate with a mighty heave to secure the roof. Your a strong lady because I can barely raise the roof by myself, eh! Happy trails! ( B&J married for 55 years ) .
This made me smile. Welcome to life, have spare keys and vote for Trump 🙂 Just curious, mentioning the Son of Yah and prayer ... begs the question, do you obey him and try to keep the commandments .... ? Ex 20 for example..?
Well, considering i believe in Jesus, I try to follow his commands from the New Testiment. However, not one of us is perfect (aside from him), so repentance is key.
"down to Mob" had an Aliner. his frame cracked right at the suspension. he had is welded up and strengthened. you might want to keep an eye on the frame and suspension cracking. those trailers aren't built for off road.
you should really consider buying a 2000 Watt gas generator and use it in combination of solar generator. you can run the generator for a couple hours to charge everything.
I know all the nomads treat generstors like tools of Satan. That is silly to me. I carry the smallest, lightest Harbor Freight generator to supplement the solar. Just running one tank empty will charge most of the rig up. The generator is small and cost less than $125 on sale. Literal lifesaver.
Midsize trucks and SUVs with automatic transmissions are annoying. If they would just lock in a gear I could go slow but I hate the constant downshifting and upshifting. Are you turning off overdrive or putting it in haul mode when you are towing? For long climbs I shift to a lower gear and just drive at a comfotable rpm and don't worry about the speed.
