To restore if bricked simply have another gpu in at the same time and boot from that one. Then reflash original bios onto card noting what device number it is first.
I did similar to your setup. 1- CPU/Mobo ~ 270W PSU#1 2- RTX 2080Ti ~ 600W PSU#2 I switched on PSU#1 first (via PC power button) then PSU#2 by a jumper cable (solder rod 😂) Now, what should be the sequence to switch off? Should we first switch off PSU#1 then PSU#2? Or vice versa.
very usefull video - add one thing to it .) had running a Ryzen 5 2600 with a RD5700XT at 500 Watts... switched CPU to a Ryzen 9 3950x - first it did not bot, than it booted just to let me know in Win10 that my GPU is not indicated and switched of - i could reproduce it exactly once - than it never bootet again.... first a was afraid that i did something to my gpu but than swithced back to my old 2600 R5 and everyything went normal again.. now im buying a 1k PSU - so i can run another 2nd gpu - a rtx3060 and having enough space to overclock the 16 Core AMD and both otf the GPUS :) - im loving it dont save on PSU guys...its worth it !
I believe mine is under power because it's not showing the display but it's booting and pulling info because the fans changed to my set color. Upside is mine didn't short because the GPU only turns on in heavy use
i have a 600w cooler master elite v3 75 efficiency not 80+ bronze or something so im having a problem with my gpu performance when its peaking at high gpu clock it will suddenly gpu clockdown/power consumption drop and its causing hard frame drops my pc specs is i3 9100f rx 5700 xt 16gb ram
Still not clear. Most of us know you can turn on a PSU by shorting green with yellow, but the question is how did you mix the power. Did you use one power supply on half the cards and the other on the other half or are they connected in parallel (sounds like they aren't), but that's sort of what I'd think people were wondering... not how to turn on a second power supply without a button.
would this be good for gaming as well? what doe sthe bios o? just upgrade your memory essentially? If it makes cards go from 8 or 9 mega hash to 28 or 30 mega hash would you not see an increase in gaming as well?

I know this is a late reply but I think you could CPU mine with the RandomX algorithm. You may have to load a better/less strick OS on it as I'm not sure if there mining software for macs, I think it's just Linux and windows that has mining software (don't quote me on that) CPU mining is likely to hardly bring in any profit though
