Very nice, thank you for sharing this. I was contemplating on getting this model as a break from my frigate scratchbuild, but when I saw this portion of the video (5:15), where the deadeye strops and the chains would have to be scratch-built from wire, I suddenly had second thoughts. I wish they just made these as photo-etched parts for an easier and more precise job.
Nice build . I always had fondness for the Hellcat . Have a couple built now. Also very rare to see one with nose art on WW2 naval aircraft. Tempted to build one like this.
Back in the 70's when I was a teen. I started building models. This is the stuff I dreamed about doing with my models, but never could. It's amazing to me how far we have come with this hobby. And I'm sure as time passes it will stagger the mind what we can do next.
This is what happens when you actualize your fever dream! Honestly I thought the support (?) was part of the sculpture, some kind of alien tentacles invading through the nostrils?? Kudos for scanning your own head as the subject. But the point I guess is the new machine can handle BIG objects.
There are no tools provided by the kit. You'll need good cutter, files, sanding paper, scissors, saws, drill, hammer - everything possible for wood work. A dremel could be useful but won't be the main tool. The kit might not be the best for an absolute beginner since there're lot of woodworking challenges included. I recommend smaller ships like the Lady Nelson I build as a noob.
@@TomGrigat thanks for the response. Ive never been one for starting anything on easy difficulty 🤣. These models look beautiful, shame they don't make them a bit smaller but with the same level of detail
Hello Tom, I am building the Lady Nelson and enjoyed your video. So very helpful! I would like to know if the Bulwark3D printed hand cannons are available for sale. If so how can they be purchased. Best Regards, Roger
Hello Roger, I'm happy to be helpful with my video. Here you can get the cannons for the Lady Nelson: cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/bord-cannon-for-amati-s-lady-nelson-1-64
muy buen video, algunos "delicados" que no les gusta la música de fondo que está muy buena para el video, hubiera sido interesante adjuntar medidas, gracias
Excellent design and execution. Can really see the appeal of using deposition 3D printing instead of stereolithography (liquid resin) 3D printing. Lot less mess to deal with, no washing or curing. Plus multi colors.
No, I like to let the print color work on its own and see how the environment influences the surface. It's not about accuracy, it's about an impression of plastic in nature.
