0:01 This hat is the one that immediately comes to mind when westerners think of Japan.... It's kind of ridiculous...it's appalling. Only ascetic monks wear them.
Hope the same day ticket don’t sold out too quickly!! Since the online ticket cannot get booked 😭 (planning to go on May!!) hope my mom and i could get a chance to go there 🥹✨
You can try to go there early in the morning and maybe you can get tickets for the afternoon. This is what I got information from my friends. Also this museum is big, if you don't get the ticket, it's still worthy to go.
@@tokyochillbeats is that so! Thank u for the information🥺✨ I saw part of ur video that said same day tickets are sold out 🥲 is the ticket counter near there or in different floor? And i’m little bit confused for the online ticket booking, it said on its calendar for May ‘No Upcoming Performances’ i’m wondering is it sold out already or it haven’t opened on May? T_T
@@niachen99 The ticket counter is just near the gate, you just follow the people and it's easy to find it. Weekend is almost impossible(like the day I went) but weekdays may have a chance!Good luck!!!
We saw the Dior show here in Dallas last year, and oh my gosh, it was breathtaking! When you see photos of all these items, it's one thing. But to see them up close, so you can see how they are constructed, stitched, and the structure of the items, IT'S TRUE ARTISTRY. Seeing how incredibly intricate some pieces are, especially when there are embellishments....even the simplest looking pieces really weren't. SO many hours of teeny tiny hand stitches, and folding, and steaming, and ironing, and gluing...it was quite amazing to see the end results. And then to see _in person_ the famous pieces that you'd read about and heard about for years--even decades--standing right in front of you--well, for a dedicated follower of fashion, it was truly revelatory. So I understand now even moreso when they say "you get what you pay for." In the case of haute couture, you really do. And it's worth every penny. My all time favorite collections were the Galliano-led haute couture 2007 and 2008 seasons. Truly staggering in the catwalk presentations, and the ravishing clothing themselves! Scrumptious!
I missed it when in New York, I hope it tours again in the United States so I can see it in person. Thank you for doing a great job capturing this stunning show.
