When this was a huge hit, everyone (including the radio stations) thought it was actually Elvin Bishop singing.... the Radio DJ's should have made it known to the music listeners that the singer was actually Mickey Thomas, even though it's released as 'Elvin Bishop'.... unless of course the DJ's themselves were fooled too.
Best song and video ever, thank you ever so much. I lost my Fiance on Mothers day 2023. I am so lonesome and depressed, Not seeking pity, just saying, it takes time, for me, seems like it will never cease. GOD bless anyone going through this same thing.
Willy have a hot voice but i prefer Mickey Thomas he sings not flat it's his usual high range : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W88LpALTmc0.html
I'll bet he came out in the crowd with his wireless guitar like he did at his concert I attended at Lakeside, MT outside of Helena. I was standing right in front of him while a friend fed him a beer while he played. I will never forget that and also one of my best, only second to the Aber day concerts.
Can't remember if he came out into the crowd but had a full band with 2 keyboards, full horn section and backup singers. I remember Budwieser was a sponser and there was FREE BEER@@CaresforAll
Don't know if Mickey Thomas was still with Elvin then. I was in the Air Force at the time stationed in Great Falls from Ocy'78 to Nov'80. Loved my time there. Livin' in Virginia now
