oh god yeah, i remember that first night aT The first pit was a fever dream, i literally started making fun of your height the second you got there LOL (sorry abt that by the way)
26:29 Brandon I just wanted to say the EPS video was great. Many people probably didn’t know much about them (myself included) and I think it’ll really put them on the map since they’ve kind of been slept on. The next bali I plan on buying is a 101ti. 31:23 just got done watching the MachineWise video! I’m glad they were able to address all of the questions most of us had about discontinuing products etc. I haven’t put down my tottori since I got it. Seriously wtf were we worried about??
i’m surprised your “first” impression isn’t as drastic as mine was lol i remember sitting on the floor at wills for like a solid hour just switching back and forth between the teflon and regular vulp and my mind was blown lol im a big texture person and the grip makes such a huge difference
I was given an old beat up TheOne cyoz from a friend and then proceeded to beat the living hell out of it for a year doing nothing but basic opens and a thumb/index rollover Recently the last 1-2 months I would say I really dove into the hobby I got new hardware for the cyoz and sanded the hell out of the handles (it looked like it was just thrown onto concrete over and over again) so I tuned it up polished it and lubed it up for the first time ever and the first index rollover to thumb rollover had me feeling like I just discovered fire I was hooked and the next week or so I learned sooo much more than I had in the last year but I wanted a true upgrade and I wanted it now so I researched and found the vulp but I knew it would be at least a week or two before it would be in my hand so I ordered it but I also hopped on amazon and ordered the nabalis g10 trainer which would be on my doorstep the very next day, initially I felt the g10 was a little clunky and not so comfortable to flip however the next week and a half the g10 never left my hand I built up a ton of finger dexterity in all 5 fingers I learned a bunch of tricks and combos and developed some sore angry fingers and hangnails(which have all callused up nicely) in the process needless to say I was stoked to find my vulp had arrived so I tore into the packaging balisong in hand I did a basic open to sloppy index rollover to twirl and it flew out of my fingers… I picked it up and tried again and again hoping that somehow someway magically it would grip to my fingers but no I felt like my hands were coated in butter, I am extremely disappointed all I want to do is spin my balisong but it is extremely demotivating when it just continues to fly out of my fingers, I know it’s not a dexterity issue because I can flip the g10 around all day and that thing is clunky compared to the vulp, the vulp just has no grip whatsoever i don’t know what to do 😢
Hey you said that the vulp is a beginners knife that doesn’t really grow with you. What is in your opinion an beginners knife, preferably trainer, that grows with the beginner?
The only thing I want from BRS these days is a Channel AB Infinity, maybe with ever so slightly less rounding than the normal Infinity. I would be all over that. I get where you're coming from about Chabs but that slow flipping is exactly what I like about them. Personal preference, I'm always switching it up and I always appreciate that chill flipping experience when I come back to it. I also think stock Reps feel great. Yeah all of em are expensive, nothing new there.
2:37 Yes I do have a problem with that. Mainly that I now want every balisong to come with custom rainbow 🌈 pride stickers 😅 and will be disappointed 99.9 % of the time 😭. Thank you very much for that Mr. Gay 😂.
Buddy, that's sweet and your awesome. My problem is I can't afford to buy a decent trainer, because I'm stuck in a skilled nursing home trying to heal a stage 4 wound on my under side hip, from being paralyzed since I was 20 years old,38 years ago,58 now paraplegic and this is a great hobby for me. Are there any give aways? I'd like to start a RU-vid station as a beginner balisong paraplegic flipper. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Love your flipping! ✌️👍🤘
I just watched your first balisong video and I have an idea. You could document your journey as a beginner balisong flipper all the way up to a decent one. If you do that then I’m sure people will watch
