Hello! I'm your free to play (F2P) gorilla friend.
I rarely use other social media platforms & rarely communicate with anyone other than close acquaintances outside of RU-vid. If you see my stuffs elsewhere, it's definitely not me, and this is my only channel.
I'm mostly doing stuffs for fun now; used to play super competitively in my younger days.
I've been playing F2P games for years & I can compete with paying players without paying a dime.
I play games the easy & lazy way in order to avoid paying & wasting too much time grinding.
Currently playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and I specialize in playing going 2nd decks and still learning many other decks at the moment.
I'm also playing FTK decks whenever I'm too lazy (or too busy) to play the game.
I will help you solve your gaming issues (or any other issues) with simple & effective solutions, because I'm also an engineer, even though I'm just a gorilla. :D
Just tell me your problems & I will try my best to help.
I did some testing by replacing the harmonizing magician package with D-Hero Malicious and adding Selene to the extra deck, I was able to find some new lines with good potential.
the 33 starters variant contain 1 additional hard garnet, the Lv.3 Predaplant that's only at 1, but that card is only required for the Lonefire and Scorpio starter. The equip spell can be considered as hard garnet, but it's only for the most efficient route, hence it still has 98.52% consistency. :D
Haha the name of the FTK is Salamangreat FTK because it uses Pyro Phoenix. It is more Salad than the YCS variant because Gazelle is a 1 card starter. XD
Circular = OTK without Normal Summon or Omni Negate, watch the 2nd replay. Red Reboot is broken because it also negates Imperm and Sp.Speed 3 Traps. You can replace it with Duster or Twin Twister if it's too expensive.
@@SiverShadow Yes, Lv.3 Starters w/ Invoker is the best way to boost consistency. You can play up to 36 starters (99.22%) for the 1 card combo if you remove the less useful cards. But it's still better to play generic extenders like Gilasaurus, so 24 or 27 starters + ~25 extenders are good enough. :D
A question for deckbuilding: do you think I use the visas/scareclaw/planet strategy like in limit 1 fest, or the harmonizing + oaf strategy in this video? The only reason I ask is because the limit 1 Fest strategy set up barrone, S:P, and appo (endboard cards) much more consistently, so I wondered if its better. however, that one did use curious, while here I'm trying to use 2x barrone. This makes it so if I don't use MX saber and instead immediately make sold, I have to give up one of the 3 endboard cards (because no heroic call). also, the limit 1 fest strategy is mutch bigger, and leaves less room for extenders (30 starters in my current deck btw). Any help would be mutch appreciated. Thanks in advance! :-) (I don't mean to be invasive, so you don't have to, but maybe if u have discord I could show u my list)
OTK decks can be more consistent than FTK thanks to the 6th card. And I did find a way to make it even more consistent: 36 starters = 99.22% chance to FTK. XD
I cannot even imagine the amount of cooking you would have needed to make a deck like this, appreciate it a lot man, I am 4 core URs away stuff like saber invoker and majesty Pegasus, but I will someday try this deck out
Haha yeah it's harder than I thought, especially for Summoning Pyro Phoenix since this deck plays non-Fire monsters. Invoker is worth it, but Majesty is only useful for FTKs that require Field Spells. :D
Haha cancer abomination is subjective, but this variant has 98.52% consistency, which is objective. The pure variant is covered by most big channels already, and this channel's focus is to experiment with good engines to create something new. :D
Oh the hand rip FTK? I did it with Labrynth weeks ago. :D Here you go: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lY1iVxMLeww.htmlsi=-6TjWkAYwlgZr534
This is a cool FTK, was looking at something like this before but couldn't make anything satisfactory with it. What do you think of codebreaker virus swordsman into balelynx to search for sanctuary?
Yeah I thought of using Reprodocus to turn something into Cyberse for Balelynx, but it takes too much resources. This is the most efficient routes I can come up with. I don't know how to do it with Codebreaker though, because it's a Warrior, not Cyberse. XD
@@Ailtir I explored the pure variant with that card too, but it locks us from summoning Lv.5 or higher IIRC, which prevents us from Summoning Greater Inari. :D
@@GoriCHAD Okay then last suggestion. 😅 I found a 1 card combo version of this ftk that uses cyberse wicckid to search for weasel that could be useful. I will upload it later and reply here.
I think Engage at 3 generates a lot of hype, and the new boss monster is good. I personally pulled the new alt arts, but I haven't got a chance to play it. Still, a decent going 2nd deck, but too lazy to learn it properly. XD
This isn't a Salamangreat deck. This is the 'let me gather all the ingredients I have in the kitchen and cook a five-star meal out of it' deck. Seriously, Gori, how do you even come up with stuff like these? It's so chaotic that it's extremely brilliant at the same time xD
Haha it's not a Salamangreat deck, but it's still the same Salamangreat FTK, but with a better engine. XD This kind of deck is possible because Invoker and Isolde are both legal.
@@GoriCHAD Yeah Pyro Phoenix is one beast of a card. Goes really well with Code of Soul when ur doing a Turn 1 Salad endboard. It just nukes the field to hell
Haha thanks as always. Yeah, it's only 8.33% thanks to the 60 cards deck size, which mean it'll be much higher in a 40 cards deck. Still, it's higher than 1.48%, so it's better to add another route just to mitigate it, or else it'll be 91.67% chance, not 98.52%. XD
My coin toss luck is so bad and also I don't have the memory for long comboes, that is why (personally) I prefer going second OTK for faster games, so this list is good for me for the event, and is not that expensive compared to other archetypes, (regrettably no triple lightning storm, only one)
You can remove the board breakers for staples, but hand traps are not that useful for hard going 2nd decks when compared to board breakers. Most hand traps are 1 for 1 trade, so it's less powerful when compared to board breakers. Maxx "C" and Nibiru is the only ones that have the potential to be better than board breakers, it's rare to see it happens. :D
GoriCHAD claims OTK don't need brains when he used factorial maths to determine the consistency of the deck xD But fr, this deck is based! You can either go for Terahertz or Violet Chimera for OTK options. I might also try this deck for the event and probably change a few cards depending on the circumstances.
Haha FTK decks require efforts in deck building, but requires no brain cell when playing. This deck's philosophy is to end the game on the 2nd turn whenever possible, so we have to prepare heavy hitters. XD
Nice. Never though I would see a more consistent cheap deck than scareclaw. Great to see you're getting used to the Salamangreat engine, never used it, but I played against it enough to recognize some combos. Great video as always.
Terahertz is better because it also Negates Activated Monster Effects in the Battle Phase, but it requires once per turn ED Link Climber like Transcode and/or Splash Mage, so it's harder to make if both are negated. It can also be protected by Gatchiri if the OTK fails. Violet requires more initial resources but doesn't use Transcode and Splash Mage, so it's easier to make than a 2nd Terahertz. It's a back up plan, just as mentioned in the video. :D
@@GoriCHAD Do you have any idea to make that deck go first with a decent board and obviously without removing the otk lines? I remember long time ago Teraherzt send to the graveyard a fusion monster to negate spell cards and a xyz monster to negate monster´s effect but that´s it. Maybe with some micro coder to search cynet conflict. I just really like the idea of using Teraherzt against tenpai dragon in TCG format, but also it would be ideal for me to play salamangreat cards because I love them.
Well, it's better to focus either for going 1st or 2nd in best of 1 format, but it's indeed required for TCG's best of 3. That ED Fusion (Desavewurm?) is good for spell negate, and there's an Xyz (Mereologic?) monster that can negate monster. Just replace Pentestag and Update Jammer with both. Micro Coder is also useful for climbing into Transcode, but it wasn't included because it's not needed thanks to the 1 card OTK line, and I'm also trying to make this strategy as consistent as possible. The other useful card is Iblee, just send it to GY with Terahertz, and bring it back with Splash Mage before Linking it off into something. :D
My expensive version uses Mathmech for Nibiru protection, but Circular is banned in TCG. That said, it's also hard to do here because Diameter, the most useful card for the deck, is limited to 1 in MD. XD
@@GoriCHAD Yeah that´s really sad about circular. I used to play it and my endboard was something like apollousa 4 negates, 3 destruction (Laplacian´s effect), 2 draws (heatsoul) and 3 omni-negates (roar, diameter and cynet conflict). Obviously all that without getting nib xd
First Snake-Eyes Salad FTK from Indy YCS and now we have Gori's going second OTK with Terahertz and Chimera, man we sure are cooking with Salads! And the fact that you did the factorial math with how consistent the deck is with the starters is insane xD
Well, this deck is a modified experimental deck that I used for rank climbing. Did a misplay, and it made me realize that the deck works at around 90% capacity even without the UR cards. XD
@@oderflafrredy2790 Well, the expensive version is around the same power level as Scareclaw, so it will highly depends on the match up. The event will most likely be filled with pure stun enjoyers. XD
Hi, you can add it to the spread sheet, because comments with codes are hidden by RU-vid most of the times. I share it every time I post something, but I have no time to make new accounts nowadays. :D
For a budget deck? Really good. But it still can't beat the auto-win hand trap in the event: Nibiru. This decks is really good because it's very consistent and resource efficient. Even better if you have Link Decoder, which made any 2 Cyberse into Terahertz, so you can use an extra material to make Linguriboh. :D
@@adamantevovo5701 One for One and Link Decoder is the easiest and cheapest upgrade. We can't beat Nibiru without extenders. It's much easier if you have Mathmech Circular, because it's a 1 card Terahertz without Normal Summon. So the strategy is to make Terahertz > try to go to battle phase (get Nibiru'ed) > make a 2nd Terahertz. Token > Link Spider = 1 free body. :D
Here's how to make 2 Terahertz with only Circular and Skipper/Defenser: Circular > Sigma (Search Equation) > Link Decoder & Any Link 1 > Equation > Transcode (Revive Link 1 & Decoder) > Terahertz (Nibiru'ed) Skipper Line: Normal Summon > Link 1 (Search eXceed) > Link Spider (Token) > Splash Mage (Revive 1 and Summon 2 eXceeds) > 2nd Terahertz Defenser Line: Normal Summon > Link 1 (Summon 2nd Firewall) > Splash Mage (Revive 2nd Firewall + any other Cyberse) > Link Spider (Token) > 2nd Terahertz Defenser + One for One also works. :D
@@johnlucas2838 Haha does it mean 15 sec is too long for you? XD Well, there are indeed faster decks, but this combo is shorter than average competitive decks. Thanks for clicking and commenting anyway, it helped the video getting promoted by the algorithm.
Also, thanks for informing that fast forward turns people off, my intention was to skip the "animation". It only reduced ~5 sec into 0.5 sec each, guess it made people think it was 30 sec or something. Man, I thought not wasting people's time is a good thing, guess people watch videos about video games are mainly wasting their time, just with things that they like. XD
Yooooo! GoriCHAD the true chad really did it! I mean I didn't think you'd actually make a video of it but I very much appreciate the gesture xD You can also utilize Mathmech Subtraction for decreasing the ATK of a monster your opponent controls or if you want to spend a few resources, you can use Heatleo's Relinked Effect to change an opponent's monster's ATK. And I never even considered using Clock Lizard. Pretty neat! This may be your last video about the event though but thanks for showcasing the decklist and the combos!
Haha glad you liked it! Yeah, Heatleo is good if you have enough materials. Clock Lizard is insane though, because we can just use Violet Chimera + 1 Cyberse to activate the attack doubling effect. :D
