that old grandma, looking at the photo, hatefully blaming the gentle & passive young woman - that's how it was in the old days, back when men were always blameless, people always blamed the woman! The old grandmas themselves were probably the fruits of men's aggressive domination, their own mothers praying to be married & being blamed & punished for their pregnancy by everyone, their innocent children being persecuted - for what the irresponsible man did, but society blamed the woman & the child, taking away their "face." And what does Grandma hate the child's mother for?? For giving her a beautiful grandchild?? Thank goodness those hateful old times are behind us! Hatred is not a good tradition! Perhaps the only reason those hateful old attitudes have diminished is because birth control & abortion are available! But often the woman is still called "shameless" if she keeps her pregnancy, but nobody calls the man shameless!
