I’m catching up. Need more content. Stat! :-). Really enjoying your Lords of the Fallen. Haven’t played Dark Souls 3 yet. But played this game multiple times. Also Elden Ring all other dark and demon souls. sekiro and lies of p. Need something new but haven’t decided. I bought black myth wukong, but haven’t got into it yet. What Souls game are you doing next? What do you recommend?
@@miguell.106 I'll try to upload them faster! lol I'm not really sure what Souls-like game is next for me! I know there's that Star Wars game, and Wukong. But those didn't really appeal to me too much. I think I might just be waiting on something new after Lords of the Fallen! As for recommendations; there was one I played a while back called Mortal Shell that I really enjoyed. It was super clunky and fairly short, but if you see it on sale it's worth playing! Also there are the Nioh games you could try, though I didn't play them either so I don't know how fun they are.
@@nauxiliary you know what? I started Mortal Shell when Lords of the Fallen froze on me at the start screen. Played it for a weekend and really liked it. I still have to finish it. The Star Wars game didn’t sing to me either. I haven’t played Nioh either. It’s on my list.
@@nauxiliary I understand that completely, I've been studying anatomy but since I'm trying to balance it with managing my personal life of high school, it's difficult
Yes, you definitely need to go back through the game in umbral. There is still a lot to be discovered. Congrats on the chunk you got last episode. You can max upgrade a weapon.
You probably know this already but, you’re having such a hard time because you have stumbled on to the third to last zone of the game. You’ve missed a ton of contact. So you are massively under leveled for where you are. Plus, they are all holy there. So they are resistant to holy damage and you are 100% radiance/ holy. Also, and this is insanely funny to me, in the beginning when levels are so important, you spent all of your money on clothes. :-). Lastly, farm 12k vigor and buy 10 vestige seeds and drop a seed constantly.
@@miguell.106 I think I was under the impression they were more precious than they really are and I was trying to conserve them lol. I am starting to be more liberal with my seed placements
You are so good at blocking. I have spent all of my play throughs dodging. And I think I am going to do a new one only blocking. You make it look awesome.
@@miguell.106 It is very satisfying! If you haven't ever played it; Lies of P is another souls-like with a very very fun "perfect block" mechanic just like this. I highly recommend that game!
@@nauxiliary I played Lies of P after I finished Elden Ring. Loved it. I did two walkthroughs but did not beat Proof of Humanity. I still plan on going back and killing it. I am now working on parrying. It adds a whole new element to the game. Watching your play through is really helping me understand it.
Put it in offline mode to avoid crimson raids if it allows it in the menu or you can purchase those golden mirrors. It looks like you’re on PlayStation, I’m on PC so I’m not sure what your menu allows in that version.
@@nauxiliary I’m on my 3rd play through, about to go for Umbral ending next. Love Souls like games whereas before I couldn’t handle them😂 Just make sure you level at least one weapon to 10, so on your next play through you can use the weapons upgrade modifier and get all level 10 weapon drops.
@@cliffordjohnson943 I'll definitely be sure to get SOMETHING to level 10. I find it so difficult to stick to one weapon. There are too many cool options!
I agree with you. The weapons are amazing. And the fighting style. This game is great. I did enjoy Elden ring. I like the play style of this game better. I have done radiance, umbral and inferno builds. They are all great.
Dunno much about this one, only watched someone else play an hour or so before. I love how you can still read the broken sign, just takes more effort :P
Thanks for the playthough! It really did help me appreciate animal well more :) I had already looked up stuff we missed, but it's really different seeing someone play through it! Interesting that you weren't a fan of the combat in Tunic and I found it really fun, and you didn't mind the platforming clunk in this but I found it grating 😄 I have a nugget of an idea for a game I want to make at some point, that would work kind of like reverse Tunic; you start with a incomprehensible book and need to find things in the world to make sense of it 😁I have some fun ideas for puzzles, but I don't know yet how the rest of the gameplay would function. Probably something relatively simple especially since I shouldn't take on another 5+ year project! We should finally have the next bit of Gatedelvers content ready soon, and I have a little solo project that I've been designing for a while now. But after that!
We went through so much trouble to save that ostrich! It is in fact possible to press the 4 buttons simultaneously enough by falling to hit them on one side and yoyoing the other side. The fist time we unfortunately had triggered the chase and couldn't use any phones so we had to reload and getting the trick the second time took forever. It seems that the dev probably didn't account for that being possible :P but at least in our save file the ostrich is still wheeling away. Aww, I love your super rabbit!
I absolutely hated that room with the fish fast travel point with a burning passion 🤣 there is no justification for spawning you all the way up there for falling into water in the humming bird room! We did this part right after getting the frisbee, so we had no knowledge of fast travel and it felt like whatever we did we ended up back in that room!
Oh, I'd never noticed that the candles don't fully get rid of the ghosts o.o I guess I always used a firecracker before lighting a candle We were so scared of the chinchillas in that first encounter 🤣did not see cuddly chinchillas coming after being mauled by cute dogs and chased by a creepy ghost wolf. The wiener dog is my favorite!
Sorry I disappeared for months 😅 I really wanted to play Animal well blind, but it took me a looong time to get to it and I kind of forgot about your channel. Very curious to see how you get along with Animal well! Especially with you being this brave and silly with the ghost wolf 🤣I assume you know by now that you can (and are probably expected to) get the mock disk first and *then* exchange it for the frisbee and only need to deal with being chased way later in the game. This game was a massive let down for me and Mag, we'd seen it be mentioned in the same contexts as Tunic and Outer Wilds and carefully avoided hearing more about it and yeah. Expectations are a bitch. I really want to see blind playthoughs by people that loved the game to see if it was just bad luck that we didn't get on-boarded into the more puzzly elements or what. (one thing that definitely affected it was that we didn't want to be mean and use firecrackers on animals if we could help it, which locked us out of stuff :c) I theorize that part of the reason the late game puzzles of Tunic work so well is that so much of it is in the manual, so you can alternate between pouring over the manual and looking for things in the world depending on what you feel more inclined for, whereas in animal well you kind of have to just keep exploring and the movement mechanics just aren't good enough for me to want to keep doing that...
I did quite enjoy Animal Well! It was a bit frustrating at times because I literally couldn't figure out how to progress a couple times lol. I did enjoy the puzzles too, but the issue I had with Animal Well was that it seems like a lot of the puzzles are like "community" puzzles that are basically impossible for one person to figure out just playing the game. Or require a lot of work to actually do even if you know the solution. Tunic was amazing in that it made me feel like a genius and all the puzzles were doable for one person.
@@nauxiliary I don't remember us hitting any snags with progression, our frustrations were with having to open the menu to switch items (learned later that you can scroll through them, but why not let players assign at least 3 to buttons? it would make using them so much more pleasant), always feeling like there has to be more to do with the flute but figuring out only the fast travel hub and one caged animal solution, we didn't find the upgrade for the bubble wand so while we could get basically anywhere it was extremely difficult and tedious to repeatedly jump off the bubble in the way that it doesn't pop, and lastly just the feel of moving and jumping. It's just a bit... amateurish? If it felt like Celeste I would absolutely have searched for every last egg even if I never managed to solve any of the bigger puzzles :P But I definitely would be less judgemental if I hadn't been bombarded with youtube thumbnails praising it for months.
@@myrrysmiasi4866 Oof never having the bubble wand upgrade would be rough! Also, I think I didn't figure out you could scroll through items until I basically finished the game lmao. I never played Celeste which might have made the movement not feel as bad for me in Animal Well luckily.
I wonder if it's something to do with that sword not having any inferno scaling to begin with? Maybe it's like a straight trade so with nothing to take you gain nothing? Every episode makes me wanna jump back in and finally do a modified NG+ run...
Maps are useless says the man who misses main areas because he doesn't actually take the time to look at the maps and find the landmarks; a lost little baby boy.
I really tried to make another video, but it was SO rough I couldn't even upload it. Dx The game really really does not perform well. Hopefully in the future if it gets patched enough I can try it again.
