my ex housemate invented a little gadget that keeps the pages open in a book while reading - I never thought it was a big issue but... nice to see the fish are doing well!!
I intend to get my first adult UK passport by descent and have been researching information about it the past few weeks. Now your video was in my recommended and I've now watched half of it. I have to say, despite this way of getting the citizenship/passport not applying to my case, I am in awe of your spoken English. Just wanted to say that.
@@adriennb In the aforementioned classic novel Captain Nemo's Vessel the Nautilus is compared to the wonderful dining area in that famous hotel which was also Charles Dickens favourite hotel for doing readings from his newest novels before his transatlantic voyages over to America to promote his classic works!
My wife has been asked to take the test, although she has been living here and working for 30 + years. There seem to be a few organistations which do the test, but looking online it seems some offer computerised tests only, rather than one-to-one interviews, even though these now seem to be via ipads Which is less stressful would you say
Hi, to my knowledge both the English and Life in the UK tests (not sure which you were referring to) you have to attend in person. The English is a one-to-one interview either with a person there in the room or on an ipad/computer call in the room. The LITUK test is in a group setting where each person has their own computer with a computerised test and you can leave the room as you finish (in your own time within the timelimit). I found the LITUK test more stressful as you need to study the content of the books, but as long as you practice before it you will be fine. Hope that helps and best of luck to your wife x
@@adriennb Thanks for your reply. My wife passed the Life in the UK test a few months ago, she now has to do the English test. It just seems crazy that somebody who has been here in the UK for over 30 years, speaking only English as she did in her native South Africa, she now has to pay £150 for a 10 minute interview
Ever heard of 66 Books Adri ? - it's a massive book warehouse near London (new books only) where twice a month the public can buy books at 70% off and a friend is going this weekend !! - not sure if you have something similar near Liverpool.
Oh no, I've heard really mixed reviews about "IceBreaker" (peeps either love or hate it), but apparently, the second one is better? Anyway, happy reading good luck with your tbrs ❤
Your video quality and category are amazing. But you should use searchable video title, description and tag in your videos. Aslo need few video thumbnail. If you want i can help you about this all things.
Your every RU-vid video is amazing. But your videos are not reaching out everywhere. That's why you aren't get more results in your videos. I can reach your videos everywhere properly by doing proper SEO and optimization. When i reach your video everywhere then your audience easily find your video on youtube by search. Then they watch and subscribe your video.
Wow you are lucky with a great choice of beaches near Liverpool - and finally there is sun!! Well done for not buying more books - not sure I can say the same!
Hi. Good luck with the application! This website has a checklist for what documents you may need to submit: birmingham-immigrationlawyer.co.uk/documents-british-citizenship/ Hope that helps x
We loved it! And we actually had a better view of some of the stage than I did in Lyon. French swifties- there were less screaming children 😂 here in Liverpool there were these group of British girls who literally kept screaming out at the most random times...
Hi Adri, I suspect you weren't breaking the law and I don't think the man with his dog was chasing you. There is something in the UK called 'Public Rights of Way'. Under the Highways Act 1980, it is a criminal offence for private landowners to block or obstruct public rights of way without lawful excuse. You can read more here : (I had link to to 'Rambers' webpage with the info posted here, but I'm removing it, because a friend told me that comments with weblinks don't post) ... or on the .gov website. Make sure you keep to the rules of using 'public rights of way'. Landowners don't like it when you break them. There are also public footpath maps you can look at online. It's lovely countryside you've got there.
Hi, yes A trigger warning is something that might upset readers - eg mention of grief, domestic abuse etc. It does sometimes in my opinion spoil some plots, but i guess it helps people curate their reads more to their tastes.
I feel like one day this will escalate to the new improved ' reading until you start hallucing from sleep deprivation' challenge LMAO all jokes aside Hi lol
