Saw a comment that said to click the prayer when u see the sparkles around the spear disappear. It's 24:35 in the video when it starts. Can reference when I click vs. when the sparkles disappear, if that helps. This is the one I completely miss so you should probably find another example lol.
Just a combo of animation smoothing + 60 fps video rendering. Probably just looks smoother on video, you can achieve same results on your end as well if you turn up the GPU/fps control plugin to allow for 60 fps and above
In the beginning, it would've been for supplies in case I ever royally fucked up. Would definitely bring the mage switches to 1 shot if needed. For max recline, I'm still bringing a sang only to double tap and just bring more restores instead so I don't have to flick at all (+ thrall book / runes as well). You lose 3 ticks compared to shadow every wave so up to you to determine how worth that is for your runs
Doable of course but scythe is a pretty big crutch for first capers cause damage is king. However, the whole goal of this is to have one style attacking you so not like it matters too much. Claws more than make up for a lot of the burst dps you would need to solve a wave. Could even just milk specs after each wave is solved
@@GwenLavender Ya I mean it's tempting but you gotta remember that these deaths are costly so unless you got spare cash afterwards then probably not even worth doing this at the moment
Most of the bossing meta got cucked by shadow + ancestral set ups so you kinda get your wish of no range meta. Though I'd imagine there needs to be a big overhaul in bosses if there's going to be a melee meta any time soon.
The game was not like this when it came out. You could just play and have fun but now everything is locked behind raids. It sucks this is not what OSRS was all about.
Sure, but I fail to see the issue here regarding my argument? Everything that existed back then still exists today. Rather, there's been a paradigm shift in a vast amount of players and how they approach the game. Not everyone is 10 years old with unlimited time. For those who prefer to maximize their time, there is now a more defined way that can allow players to progress through the game. Also, this sounds like you need to redefine "everything" because everything is definitely not locked behind raids. If you do raids, it just gets you to where you want to be faster (monetarily). However, you're really shooting yourself in the foot if that's something you've decided not to do because you feel that it's not in the spirit of "what OSRS was all about". And this is a video about the Gauntlet - a quest reward unlock.
As an alternative TOA also teaches a lot of basic pvm stuff and is completable with few requirements if you're doing normal mode. Can also do this one with friends and get pointers from them. However I think something that can't be stressed enough is stats > gear. If you're trying to get into raids or late game pvm, get 90+ in all your combat stats, preferably 99. The dps differences from getting your stats to max are often far superior to gear upgrades. If you want to do end game content, then get end game stats. This isn't a gatekeep, you're just making things way harder on yourself and less likely to be accepted to teams if you don't improve your account first.
Yeah basically everything you said. Vid was also released a year before ToA release so unfortunately that didn't make it in. I would have liked to include that Warden (especially with all Warden invocations on) does a really good job of teaching everything CG would have.
I really like the tile/outline colors you're using. Possible to export them for us to copy? What plugin are you using to recolor the Crondis rock & pots?
I set up everything with Better NPC Highlight - Hull option - Zebak rock: 11737, Fill color is #96964B00 Area option - Zebak jugs: 11735, 11736, Highlight color is #3200FFFF General yellow color I use is #4BFFFF00 for any tile highlights (e.g. Warden tile outline). General outline orange color I use is #FFFFD400 (e.g. rolling Baba boulders, Scarab Swarms. The swarms also have their hull highlighted with that brown color hull). Also I don't believe there's an export option built in for npc outlines specifically. As for the tile ones, only relevant ones would probably be the Zebak puzzle tiles + Medic spawn tiles, though I'd imagine you could easily look at a picture and mark those on your own.
perhaps a late comment, but i found corrupted gauntlet to be super annoying due to the prep time constraints that leave me with t1 gear and meanwhile i watch the boss casually shred me through prayer with constant 10s on average. let alone watching all my food dissapear for getting hit for real, 'once'. it is awful. raids are easier.
This video came out in 2021 so a year before ToA release. I'd argue that Warden P2 in ToA teaches you pretty much everything that Gauntlet would teach you so I understand your sentiment. However, the point still stands for the case of the video where Gauntlet is just a 0-input learning method.
Poisoned Baboon true tile - Plugin Hub, Better NPC Highlight. Marks around regular baboons - you can do this with the base NPC indicator plugin. After tagging a baboon, hold shift + right click on your tagged baboon and you can choose the tag option to "Hull" and customize the color you want to tag it. This creates an NPC indicator tag specific to the NPC tagged.
