Came back here to let you know this is worth it. It is like an effective PC. It’s futureproofed for any expansion features you need and provides legitimate usable features that accommodate any busy worker bee like myself. However if you just want an eye dropping pretty stand, there are better options.
I bought an Embody recently, and regret it, after sitting all day, I get a sore butt and the back feels weird, it makes my shoulders feel like they are being pushed forward and it doesn't have enough lumbar support for me. My wife has an Aeron V2 so I've tried both. The Aeron is much better, for me anyway. About the creaking, mine does not have this issue, the store one did, but the one I had delivered makes almost no noise at all when flexing the back, but the overall build quality of the Aeron is much better, the Embody has a lot of play in the back and arms that the Aeron does not have. You have to lean back in the Embody, it's not good for work, which I do a lot of, I WFH full time and also game at the same desk. The Embody is NOT good for work, it just feels weird in the upright position, you really need to lean back a bit otherwise it hurts my back, and the recline is far smoother and better feeling on the Aeron. I'd return the Embody and swap it for an Aeron if I could but unfortunately Australia has no such returns policy that people in the US enjoy.

What an amazing setup. Congrats man! If you could answer me, I have a question regarding the microphone and the your speakers. I am considering to have it on my setup but I am afraid that, during a Teams Call for example, do you think that speakers could be capture by the microfone? Thanks
Thanks man! I think it depends how loud your speakers are. The SM7B has a cardiod polar pattern and does a fairly good job of blocking out sound that’s behind it. If you’re on a teams call and you just have the voices coming out of the speakers, you’ll be fine. I use the SM7B for zoom calls often and nobody has complained about feedback or anything. If anything, people will definitely hear a huge sound upgrade over typical webcam or laptop mics and will ask you what mic you are using 😄 I hope this answers your question man!

Love the new video! Lots of inspiration to go around! I'm working on my new space as well and looking for a new key light. My original one was the godox SL60W, but mounting that one in place as an overhead type light. You mentioned the 300D was more than capable for the space. I'd say my new studio size is similar to yours. I have about 225 sqft to work with. Do you know if I should go with something like a 100w or 150w as the next upgrade? Looking to purchase an aputure/amaran light, but don't want to overspend, lol.🔥
Thank you, I really appreciate the continued support 🍻 I too have the Godox UL60 and used it as my main key light for a while. It was more than capable for my last office and I still use it occasionally for shooting in this new space as well. You should be fine with either a 100 or 150 watt if your studio is the same size as mine. The 300d II is completely overkill but I just wanted something that would provide and over abundance of light (I like have extra power I don’t need I guess 😂). As far as Aputure/Amaran you can’t go wrong, and there is nothing wrong at all with going with Amaran, the light quality to me is the same, it’s really more about build quality with Aputure, and honestly they are really more appropriate for actual movie sets since they’re built to be durable. If you’re filming in a single studio, honestly just go with Amaran. Hope this helps!
Got them yesterday. No issues at all. Might have to play with the equalizer a bit to get it right. I was turning heads to find out what im sensing on my skin. It was the wind from a small air cooler that was less than 4 feet away. Couldnt hear it
Great video. Thomas. Just a quick one. I reside in the U.K, and was thinking to purchase this for my dream desk set up. Would this be function-able in the U.K. with the power outlets at the back?. As we here in the U.K. use the 3 pin plug. I’m useless when it comes to what power wattage U.K, and other countries use. Many many thanks.

I'm also a software engineer; I'm about to convert the spare room in my apartment into an office; and whilst I've been thinking about having a stab at creating content for RU-vid for some time now, your video has convinced me to just have a go at it. why we need so many content creator for this very same topic on youtube? desk setup with macbook and other stuffs. They are look 90% the same. And maybe 5% of the time they talk about how they use the tools to help thier work, and their work is making video, which basically not much value
Really appreciate the general advice about thinking before spending and the purpose of a setup was pleasant to hear in the sea of desk setup videos. Especially when all these products that are advertised are usually on the pricier end. Keep it up!
Disappointed that the 83" C3 has been discontinued. Our 8 year old SONY XBR 75" is starting to have issues with its tcon board, and we love our recently purchased LG C3 65" for another room. Price point for the C4 83" is steep!
