those so called reinforcing points are a joke, if you plan on keep your car outside and keep your car at least 10 years it will damage the integrity of the car and it will start rusting is that jack points after changing your tires with the jack provided

Hey guys, maybe I'm wrong but based on the fuse box lid, the fuel pump relay is that black relay, opposite side from that white relay. Please watch video and confirm here. Eric you have helped me so much in the past on my 2004 Bonda Element. So I was thrilled to see a video on the Silverado. I'm trying to help my grandpa with his. P,S. Hey Eric, so far your videos have saved me (keeping a running tab), $2,570 on Mechanic repair cost on my Hond Element. Your a Boss!!!!!

Thanks for a very good video. 02 CRV alternator going out and "estimate" at the local shop around $900. Quite a motivator to spend the time to do it myself. Sometimes I wish I had fingers like E.T. but I'll make due. Thanks again for the video.

Very informative. I have an SVT header I wanna wrap before I put it on my first gen ford focus and this gives me at least an idea how to do it when the wrap kit and gaskets come in. It's a really funky looking header and will probably be a pain to wrap, but the plus side is only have one to do since it's only a 4 banger. Lol

Hey guys, i really enjoyed this video. It was very informative. I loved all yhe questions asked during it and the explanations. I live on an island with no automotive repair shops at all, so i have to do this all myself. Is it possible to get a breakdown of all the tools and materials? E.g. what was that primer?

Please help... I have a honda accord 7th gen 2.4L automatic i have problem from shifting 1 to 2 , i think it is this solenoid as it only shifts from 1 to 2 if i only let off the throttle but it shifts perfectly when it shifts to 3 4 5 Also when the cars gets warm temperatures the transmission starts directly jumping from 1st to 3rd gear with a loud thud noise and doesn't shift to 2nd gear, only when the car gets cooled down it shifts to 2nd gear and again when it gets warm it starts doing it again. Please say why it does like this The solenoid is not available as a used part because this 7th gens are very few here... So i have a doubt that will the solenoids of 8th gen 2.4L accord will work as 8th gen accord used spares are available because the 8th gen accord are more here. Can anyone help me by seeing whether the 8th gen accord solenoid will work on 7th gen accord 2.4L Note: 8th gen accord automatic has a sports mode with paddle shifters but not the 7th gen accord also the part numbers of 8th gen and 7th accord Solenoids are different but they appear the same (Sorry for my bad english and a huge discription)

Hey Eric, have you ever changed the bearings in a bolt in hub instead of replacing the entire assembly? I put one in the 20 ton press, but the bearing does not want to budge at all. I was wondering if it needs to be heated? The reason I'm asking is I think I can replace the bearing with a $35 SKF or Koyo bearing versus $220 for a new SKF hub assembly on my 2005 Outback. I was just wondering if there was a certain way it needed to be done. It looks like they are just pressed into the hub. Any advice would be appreciated.

How many miles can you go safely. For example if the sticker says @ 72. 140 miles change how many miles beyond 72 140 is safe ? What if you just can't get to the oil change shop ?

I also have two converters on my F150, but received the P0430 (bank 2) code, albeit when testing for temperature, both converters where about 100+ degrees higher at the rear. I'm at 138,000 miles, so I'm wondering if it may be the sensor itself? One fellow mentioned, I could tap the bottom of the converter (while cool) as if anything has come apart in the converter, tapping the bottom..you should be able to hear if anything is bouncing around inside the shell. I've heard good & bad about the possibility of cleaning the CAT, so I don't think I'll use that method. I heard, if running with a bad catalytic converter you'll get worse fuel mileage, on top of spewing the NOX? I've seen a couple videos as well, where the converters actually where plugged, to where the engine wouldn't even rev up, and I'd hate to get to that level!

Thank you!!! This is time saving stuff. I actually didn't know that there was a way to test the timing chain. Working at the farm and my ole Chev. didn't start when I was ready to go home. Sounds like timing chain. going to test it now. Ole Chev only has 397,000 miles on it. I did replace the chain and stuff, about...twenty years ago???? LOL.

Is there only thrust bearing on one spot? Or several across the crankshaft? This looks like an easy process. Would this be a recommended thing to do for an older manual engine? I’ve been having issues with crankshaft end play I believe on an old ford that’s causing the flywheel to be a bit off and causing starter grinding periodically. Thinking I’ll check these since I’ve done everything else possible to resolve the problem.

Thanks Eric Rhe Car Guy!!! My son (15) and I replaced the clutch master & slave in our '94 Hinda Civic. We killed the OG cotter pin😂 relaced it with new, the slave cylinder was a pain.. adjusting the bolt on the master after the bleed was the easiest thing..lol.. We used a vacuum the boeed but went thriugh half a bottle of brake fluid scratching our heads . Found a different video that showed bleeding from the actual master cylinder itself the reservoir.. That was the last piece of the puzzle I was so excited when I finally had my clutch back again.. Plus we paid $2 (Not kidding his wife is making him sell the car they were in their '70s Nice people) for the car!! from the original owner.. It even came with the club it's all original inside except for the CD player..😆😆 it'll be my son's first car Also he's 66 at 15 and it actually is pretty roomy..lol We celebrated by going and getting hot fudge sundaes and then my son had his first practice on a manual transmission Still needs practice on takeoff but overall he was doing okay at starting shifting up into second and going back down again.. Anyway I watched your video probably 25 times before we actually did this ourselves and it's a good video and I'm going to check out your other videos and even though this is what 13 years later lol and 2024 I just want to say thank you This single mom is appreciative of your videos, this cost me $70 in parts and supplies plus I know I have a deep socket set and a line wrench set to add to my collection of tools then I need to find a toolbox for since I've outgrown my little toolbox over the years of doing things myself 😎 Thanks Eric the car guy!

Just got a few months ago a 2012 Honda Odyssey with 112.179 miles on it. and it was driving real good, I have done some research and I read and seen there are 10 things that has to be check and repair or replace on a 2012 Honda Odyssey when it reaches 112,179 miles. Just asking questions is a good thing.

I need your help. I had a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT about two weeks ago, I've been having a car issue with my car won't start but will crank up for a long time. Now before this got started, my dashboard on the touch screen popped up saying saving mode and I had to turn my car off and then restart my car but won't start. I tried to turn it over to get it started my fuel gauge gave me different mile numbers for example my current miles are 60 miles left but started to give me 80 miles which is not accurate. I thought maybe it could be the battery or the alternator. It's not. So I got my fiance to come by my workplace to jump-start my car for me, and he started my car for the first time and it started back up again then it messed with my fuel gauge giving me 100 miles instead of the current miles I have in my car. It's weird. Now when my gas gets very low nothing pops up on my screen and says Fuel is low every time my gas is low to 30 miles every time it pops up, but it hasn't popped anymore since the whole car won't start. I took it to the mechanic guy and he couldn't figure it out, but he guessed it could be the gas pump that needed to be replaced. Now I don't want to get fuck and screw because I need your opinion on it. many mechanics can tell me something different. I have a warranty for this vehicle and can't take it to the Ford dealership until June 14th. What's your thought? As of right now my vehicle is fine running pretty good crank and starts pretty well but the gas indicator signal hasn't shown it anymore since the whole issue two weeks ago.
