God damn it, I'm extremely jealous, I wish that I could get to decide what type of wheels to use for testing purposes, send some of those to Guatemala 😂
I rode the YES basic as a beginner for quite some time now. I would say I'm intermediate now and I'm looking for the next board. Should I get this or something else?
Hi im looking forward to get a shadowban this year ,im 178 but weight only 50kg, would you recommend a147 or 151,btw i own a zero 147 and a algorythm 147,seeking for ur professional recommendation please 🥳🙏
Cool review but a lot of repetition. Suggest condensing all the info into a written script and tightening the writing, and you should be able to get all of the info in the video across in half the time without rushing
Recently purchased 2024 shadowban (161) and A-6(large) bindings. I’m waiting on some k2 Maysis (size 10.5) boots to come in. Do you think I should exchange the board for a 161Wide? Worried about boot overhang. My typical binding setup is +15 front, -9 back. I’m 5’10 175lbs. I ride regular stance. No park, usually groomed trails. Intermediate level but looking to progress and do big carves.
What board is this? I love my longboard for how it can handle bigger hills and also huge bumps in the city. Only problem is it’s too big sometimes yk? Any help would be appreciated
Katanas are fine on the shadowban. but the driver X are the stiffest boots on the market, so would use other. One of my friends rides the shadowban 157 with Bataleon Astro Asymwrap (which are Katanas base but with better straps and bit different highback) and Burton Ruler boots, Photons would be also good or even better
i moved to the shore area in CT and we got some bomb@$$ hills down herer and Motion Boardshop YT has a lot of good inforrmation for old school skaters like myself, Very direct and clear, enjoyable content aimed at skaters that want to know data and information on niche skateboarding products. Thank you for catching me up to speed on longboard and freeride/downhill setups. CT Skaters are low-key hill-bombers with double kicktails and i've started to see a lot more longbaorders popping up around Yale.
Because it's freeriding a straight hill. Nothing wrong with it, it's all about what you do with the hill. But it seems like a lot of longboarding media nowadays is focused on super gnarly and technical descents that get a lot of clicks, rather than freeriding accessible hills like this which is what most riders are out doing.
Awesome riding Luis! Thanks for the review Nate. I just set my sacrifice up and this got me really stoked. The construction feels really solid and the concave/standing platform reminds me a lot of the Rayne Gmack if it was a little tighter and less steep.
This is in issaquah, right next to a bike path we skate all the time called SLUG WARS. The name of the park is Central Park Playfields in Issaquah near the soccer fields
Glad that passionate people like Nate have stuck around to get people stoked on our hobby. I learned a lot from Motion when I started DH in 2012, very grateful for the knowledge y'all have shared.
Good tips! Looking forward to the rest of this series. There is always some nuggets of useful info even for more experienced riders in a video this well made!
I remember like 10+ yrs ago walking in motion board shop and meeting Nate and Sam . Haha I used to be really into it back in the day. lol anyone remember trying to compete with buddies for longest slides 🛝
@@joshgaudon3096 I will bump the audio more in the next video. Thank you for the feedback. It is an easy fix on my end, but I do all my editing off my laptop. -nate
