These are so cute! They certainly would make wonderful gifts, especially from a mother to a child for "back to school" - what a treasure to keep forever! 💕
Just viewed your video...perhaps a lighter snap would be easier to see on the computer. The dark snap can't been seen thru the computer screen. Great tutorial though.
I'm interested in trying this to make as a gift for my sister-in-law. But I'm running into a minor snag: I have arthritis in my thumbs and turning the tab inside out would be too small for me to manipulate. Might you have a suggestion for something else I might be able to do or use? Thank you.
Hi! You could always just sew some ribbon into the binding to tie the needle book closed. Or some elastic from the top to the bottom on the back that could be pulled around to the front would work too.
I have SF 101, would you suggest using 2 pieces of this interfacing (one on each side) as its a lighter weight interfacing? P.S. love the clarity and great tips!!
It depends on how stiff you want the bookmark. I would suggest trying it with one and seeing what you think. If you want it to have more body, you can absolutely use two layers.❤️
I just watched your video over on your other channel. So glad I found you. I’ve just made two cases and was wondering how to hide the zipper and pull tabs. Amazing. Thank you.
If you want to message me your email I am happy to look into it. If you are more comfortable, you can send me a DM on Instagram or Facebook @AmeroonieDesigns
It’s really going to depend on the hoop size, but a good place to start is 3-4 times the hoop measurement. It is easy to add more strips if you don’t have enough length, in fact several smaller strips is easier than one long one.
This is my style of needle book and I enjoyed seeing your version. I like the pages for the floss in use and the bits and bobs. I've made enough needle books for myself now and I realized I really like making the covers. If I need a gift for a sewing friend, I have a few on hand and all that is left to do is add the pages. For a special gift, I'll include a project bag. Thank you for sharing your process.
These are so adorable and I have to make some. Might do applique letters on each banner spelling out Laundry or kitchen. And with the large beads between each one. So many uses here. I love your channel you are so creative. Even to showcase some of my best fabric's I love so can see them each day. You know the ones that we love so much don't want to cut them fabric's.
I totally understand wanting to see your favorite fabrics on display- that’s what I try to do for my sewing room! I love the idea of adding letters! I also thought adding icons- like pumpkins or ghosts on a Halloween banner would be easy and fun!
