I’m taking a nursing travel assignment here and wow it’s absolutely beautiful. Coming from beautiful Bayou St John in New Orleans it’ll be nice to go from bayou views to mountain views for a while.
Thanks for the ride with you thru the Pass. Made the trip thru the pass several times. Our last trip was in 1995. Hope to do it again. Where did you end up going after leaving Aspen ?
I'm a native of Colorado but I recently just bought a house in WV, I've lived on the East Coast since 2001. I love Davis. I also absolutely love spruce Knob as well. Each one holds their own beauty for sure but they are both equally beautiful in their own way. The one reason why I won't move back to Colorado is because it absolutely is high desert and I will miss lush greenery. I always tell my parents it reminds me of Colorado but with its own unique beauty. West Virginia is the only place that reminds me of Home but also holds the beauty that I have come to love and won't leave.
This is correct, I think people are naturally drawn to the opposite environments they grew up in. I'll have to explore spruce Knob when I go back to visit my folks. Thanks for watching and commenting, congrats on your new house.
Cumberland has a With a crime rate of 40 per one thousand residents, Cumberland has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 25. That’s 74% not worth 20,000 incentive to move.
This is an opportunity for the good people to storm the gate to live a city of the future. Why you might ask, because we are the going to rebuild it along with the good people inviting us to move here. This state is so phenomenal, I was born in Southern Maryland and moved up to them mountains, while the town was still rough. Bring money, skills, and love for your neighbor. My wife and I have talked a great friend into joining so we can buy property near each other. 10 years, this can become a rare city within our nation. If they join together and build a community, the economy will follow. Timmy
Dead town, 7:47 No one on the streets, No cars, trucks, bikes, No people on the street? Totally desolate, lonely Ghost town. Guess it's a good place for anti-social people, lol.

The tunnels are open . They go back to the French & Indian War days! The soldiers used the tunnels to get water from the Potomac river! A young Col. George Washington was stationed there! He and General Braddock head North to what eventually became Ft. PITT / Pittsburgh, PA!
That church up on that hill was the former site of Ft. Cumberland! Run away slaves hid in the tunnels beneath that church on their way to Pennsylvania and freedom! The priests were officers in the Union Army! Half the people were for the South and half for the North, and they sat on opposite sides of the church! LOL!

I visited Victor several times a few years back. Nikola Tesla stayed here on business as he was electrifying mines in the area. I stayed at the Black Monarch in the room Tesla stayed at. Super neat hotel, they had artifacts from Telsa. I remember post cards from Tesla in the room specifically. The Hotel is supposed to be haunted. I caught orbs flying around in the room I stayed in. I cannot wait to go back. Victor is a neat town close to Cripple Creek, it has a couple of nice restaurants there, everyone was friendly. Goldfield is close by and is a neat place to go explore.
Loyal Coffee is far south of Monument in Colorado Springs. And Beast and Brews was awful (out of business not long after posted) and also not in Monument. Several miles south. Learn your city borders.
Those little bits of frozen on the mountain are nice to see this time of year. I loose my mind in the heat, trapped indoors in July. I have fond memories of Crested Butte from when I was a kid. I took photos using a 110-film camera.
Nicely done!!! More accurate history that other videos I've seen. Correction: At the beginning of the video, you are on Teller County Rd. 81, not CO 67. You turned off 67 onto 81 where the town of Gillett was located. The town you are driving through at the point is Goldfield. You entered Victor at 2:18 of the video. History tidbit, at 5:58 of the video, the gravel street you are about to drive on was once a railroad grade.
My father, son & I drove this same route in June of 2022. Driving up from El Paso Texas with my son, we met up with my father in Denver. We then visited Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park. Then Jackson & Grand Teton National Park. We rented a Cabin in Cameron, Montana right on the Madison River. To our horror however, Yellowstone National Park was closed due to epic flooding & roads being washed out. Now I know how Clark Griswald & his family felt when Wally World was closed. Still, it is a summer trip I will never forget. Moreso, because this was the very last trip I took with my father. He passed away last December. Thanks for posting!
