None were debunked, the amyloid theory wasn't debunked. Amyloid triggers tau pathology, anti amyloids are administered too late when the tau pathology (which causes clinical symptoms) has already begun (like in the video). It's like giving someone who is mid heart attack statins, then saying "oh statins don't work!"

My 94 year old mother has stage 5 Alzheimers. It is quite worrying to see how much of her brain is affected and destroyed by this disease.. Mother lives alone and has become more housebound over the past year. She has carers twice a day. Most of her cognitive functions have gone and she struggles to hear, relate or interact with any conversation. Mother has many issues, including incontinence, but she refuses to consider going into a Care Home despite her apparent needs.Her stubbornness, denial and refusal to accept help are a constant source of concern for all my family.
