Pretty baby nature's star | She's just a mask on | Shadow in the night | Gonna get her good | Cause she's in the know | That's the conflict of riding in the site zone | I like the way she's breaking me in two | I like the way she barrels up inside you | I like the way she's tumbling on through | Give up the sunny side you're right someday we'll know the truth | Come on come on take me home wanna do it right | Join me on a walk and see how lighting changed my mystery | Come on come on take me home wanna do it right | Chain me to your bitter side and let me be your star | Pretty baby So damn far | He's got the good drum dying in the night | Put your shoe on in the morning sun | That's the conflict with the HOURS OF FUN

The single most underrated band ever. Seen them live a few times and never dissapoint. As for Ben's voice. One of my favorite ever singers. Puts so many "stars" to shame. Sounds like he has a bowl of sand for breakfast every morning. Awesome. ❤
What a breath of fresh air Gomez was when every party played Oasis back in the late 90s! Nice harmonies and well thought out ideas. Ben's voice is a true instrument.
The level of playing and preparation of guests aside... This is notable as the only performance of Jack O' Roses with this arrangement, and it's the best and most logical one. The TFB did it 13 times, some without the last part where Jack O' Roses gives the Lady her fan, some with... but only once was the ending done as a refrain, with Terrapin performed in between. It all starts at 2:22:00. The way I see it... the beginning is present time, describing how Jack O' Roses (who's he?) was freed from a cell and travels to Terrapin Station after seven years. Then it flashes back, and we have Lady With A Fan and Terrapin, the traditional song combo performed hundreds of times by the Grateful Dead, telling the story of the sailor (Jack O' Roses!) who risks uncertain pains of hell to prove his love to the lady who came through the door in the fire. And then the reprise, where we are back in the present and Jack O' Roses reaches Terrapin and reunites with the lady, and gives her her fan. Robert Hunter recorded and performed Jack O' Roses, but TFB completely redid it. I'd love to see more bands covering this. Far as I know, the only one that has done it is Boston's Bearly Dead (without the ending). facebook.com/derek.corbin.71/videos/2987841657903813
Hey Jerky, this is Will Golden…past compatriot of Bernie’s…thanks for posting this. Side note, I’m wondering if you have a recording of the Bernie album Encino Gold, or a good 2022 contact for Bernie…potentially both?
