By supplying a DC pulse voltage to generate a surge voltage, and store and use it, it may be possible to realize the DC motor that Troy Reed succeeded in. Current DC motors may not be making good use of surge voltage.

It acted like a capacitor not a battery. Charge in seconds and discharge in seconds is a capacitor not a battery. The light bulb drained the volts down very fast so that is not a battery. He showed a lot of parts but no detail on how it worked. He did not show the motor long enough to see it work for a few seconds. In the real world they need to work for days and day not a few seconds. I give this thumbs down. If it worked why did he not have it on his house working to show it working, because it did not work for more than a few seconds.
How did he receive a patent on something that didn't work? Did they issue patents for everything back then? Does the patent office still do that or is it different now from all the backlash and complaints of people trying to patent something that didn't work in the past?
