Very short lived series. It aired Saturday mornings that summer. I was there. I think we taped 6 or 8 episodes during 2 weekends? We were all sunburned and dehydrated. It was not fun at the time but a great experience looking back.
Great to see this. Thanks for posting! I saw her in Drury Lane a couple of years (?) before this came out. One of the most amazing shows ever seen before or since.
Extrodinary, people who saw her one man show generally say it was one of the most memorable shows they had ever seen. After watching this I can understand why.
Believe it or not, in 4th grade this was the most important song to us!! We lived to dance to this every morning they closed off the lunch room so we could break dance as much as we could until the first bell. The principal wasn't quite sure how to handle all the explosive urges to break all day!
Music was good and dancing was so much fun in the 80’s! Did you catch this performance by Lisa Lisa? Great times dancing on the beach in Malibu. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xlknTUGlobk.htmlsi=iwGzolDl8ElStpH5
Thanks for sharing! Love seeing family together from many years ago.I work on ancestry site. As I build a profile, enjoy finding photo of them and or their families. To see how life was is fascinating !
Lisa Lisa performed at Crazy Horse bringing in New Year 2010? In West Covina where the mall near by. She cried as she sang. Happy to see us all appreciating her after all these years.
At the time, I didn’t realize how fortunate I was to be part of the AB history. Wish I would have recorded more episodes and took more photos during the weekends that we taped 6-8 shows.
Awwwww…. That is so awesome!❤️🤍💙 If you love watching, imagine being there in the 80’s. It was the best time ever! Dancing with crazy, fun people was a blast. We would spend 2 days, taping 6-8 shows in Hollywood, it was a non-stop party.
Oh my gosh, I want to say Christy but I wish I could remember for sure. We weren’t friends but she was always there when I was on the show. She had great energy and always looked fabulous!
I remember this show and how amazing it was to see 1. That hot Asian girl in the pink striped bikini. Man I remember her from way back then. 2. Black people dancing to A-ha. I have no idea how anyone can dance to that. 3. And when that guy in a leather jacket on water skis jumped a shark.
wait until you find out that A-Ha performed on Soul Train. and because of its popularity and record sales, they were the most popular group to appear that season hahaha
Funny to hear "Take On Me" which was one of the songs for Rate A Record on a Bandstand episode not long before this broadcast! The video made it a huge hit.
