Hi Dave. I am novice. Can you explain how you get from the raw 2x2x6 block to the initial staring point for this video? I,m guessing you need power tools (saws, routers, etc.). Thanks in advance.
Hello Andy, you would need to grab the pattern by registering a free account on the Woodcarving Academy and use the patter to cutout the initial blank with a band saw or coping saw. ....but a hexagon is a two-dimensional shape..... the fully accurate shape of a pencil is a hexagonal prism or a hexagonal cylinder, to reference the fact that it's three-dimensional.
