I live in south phoenix arizona i remember this dust storm lol this dude was driving next to me when it hit our area and his window wouldnt roll up lmao
Because we actually stand up for our rights here, insted of letting the government steamrolling over us. :) And it's a beautiful place. You have mountains, deserts, lakes, snow in the winter, heat in the summer.
i have been in a few of these an this is everyones reaction because there is almost no wind till it hits you then your blasted by it so before it hits it calm and its hard not to be in awe of a 3 mile tall 50 mile wide ominous wall of darkness silently approaching
Amen to Stayoffhereable...you act like a major dust storm hits there once every three or four days. I live in tornado alley, but I guarantee you if a massive twister heads straight for me tomorrow, and I film it, I'm not going to be calmly standing in my yard and looking at my frantic, scrambling neighbors saying, "c'mon, guys...you must be new around here...don'tchu guys know we get tornadoes 'round here?"
What got you angry? Anything wrong with his vid? You proably do the same thing if you had the first time of seeing snow, hail, a massive tornado, and I bet you you would say those things as well.
... This exact storm caused a HUGE crash on one of the interstates. My grandma had a CRAP ton of people come in her restaurant because of it. x.x All the truckers that couldn't go on because of the crash and monsoon. I hate these so much. :l
Just a thought (not a nice thought, btw) but I would recommend Arizonans keep themselves aware of a possible Valley Fever epidemic. I am sure there was uncountable trillions upon trillions of spores in that massive monsoon cloud.
We had another one last night.8-27-2011. I got off work last night and drove through the US 60, and everything was all orange because of the strretlights mixed with dust. Awesome.
