Paintong a window at business . Base layer wont dry . Is it hopeless or do i jist jave to wait . Its 89 degrees and hot. Himid and now sprinkling . Help
Try using a sponge mop. Dawn will leave rainbow streaks if you use a squeegee, so I use lemon dish soap. And the paint will scrape off easier if you get it wet let it almost dry then re wet it. Finally scrape in an upward motion to collect scraped off paint to put it in a container.
Can I tell you the greatest secret ever? Fill your sprayer with 50% ammonia and 50% windex and spray the paint. Keep spraying the paint when starts to evaporate until the paint has been well soaked in the mixture for 2-3 minutes. The ammonia softens the paint and when you go to scrape it, it will peel off like butter if it's only been on the window for a short time. it's still pretty easily if it's been on for a long time. The ONLY exception would be for enamel paint jobs, in which case I'd recommend sparing the paint with an aerosol paint stripper like Klean Strip. Be sure to wear gloves and a mask for that. This advice comes from my 35 year career doing this work. Windex plus ammonia will take care of most signs and equals - a miracle. :)
@@kaylaamman6413 Sure, for general cleaning as well as paint removal. Just be aware that the ammonia smell is going to be strong so maybe clean the windows when the office is closed. If you are just cleaning them, and not removing paint, just use regular windex without the added ammonia. :)
I was looking into painting our windows for the holidays. I was just wondering if painting the windows would tint the windows after removing the paint?
Doing window painting for the first time at my own job. Do you have any recommendations for how to do it with acrylics? Or do you not recommend acrylics at all?
What a great tutorial! Beautiful technique. Thanks! Love how the paint is exterior which helps birds too!! To be truly bird friendly, need to have markings every 2” but that can make it fun too…even tiny dots. But this is really amazing and super helpful!
Im professional cleaner 1 gal Warm water. Tablespoon of dawn and 3 cap fulls of ammonia Best. To saturate and let it sit 5 minutes unless it starts to dry then saturated again keep it wet as you scrape it .only scrape in One Direction because the blade can detach the tiny fines of the glass and may scratch if you stroke back and forth. Never mix bleach with ammonia products this includes Dawn it says right on the label not to mix with bleach
Can I ask why a grease pencil and not something like a chalk pen and why interior paints and not exterior? THANK YOU . this is Dennis wife Angela, I am watching your video. thank you again :) !!

Thank you Sam. Your work is wonderful. Only yesterday I learned that I needed to prime my windows before I apply a "paste to wall" wallpaper. I found just the right paper mural to hide the back of a bookcase, and give some life to the room. Now I think Eggshell would have saved me a bundle at the store. I would just need to apply a few even coats to build up some depth first. The clerk recommended that I use Behr Primer Coatings, Interior/exterior .432 BONDING PRIMER for my project. Works on glass, glossy finishes, tile and metal. Now I see that plain old Eggshell will do the trick I'm going to return this small $25.00 can of "specialty" paint. KACHING!
Hi Sam, I'm reminded of when my ex husband and I used to paint windows for the holidays in the 1980s for spare money. The idea to look up ways to paint my window to hide the neighbor's house drove me to your video. I like the way you just bought the primary colors and went from there. A true artist. Thanks for sharing. <3
Hi Samantha, your work is so COOL!! Does the interior paint stand up to bad weather? I have been looking for ways to camouflage some damaged windows...I have used window clings, faux flowers, and it all looks bad :( I own a small independent food biz in NYC and since the pandemic, my little storefront has been vandalized and graffiti'ed over-and-over-and-over. My kids and hubby have spent weekends every month in 2020 -21 and nearly every holiday, including Mother's Day and X-mas scraping away! But some of the vandals used "acid" spray paint and I need professional glass repair peeps to grind off the damaged layers of glass...the quotes are $2000! Or replace the glass which is $6000! I think your video may save me thousands of $$$$. Now, I can get the supplies you listed and give it a try. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and great ideas!
I love your video! I'm interested to know why you use indoor eggshell paint vs the other stuff I've heard other people use. Your video is the first one I chose to watch and learn from so I was just curious if it is easy removal from the window with that type of paint and/or does it have more benefits that you have found. Have you made a video on this subject? Thank you for sharing your gifts!❤
Love the look of this. I work at a Gym and we have huge front store front windows that face the community pool and no one even knows this is a GYM.... it used to be a local grocery store sooooo many years ago. Our windows are tinted and I am wanting to paint the outside with a bright seasonal picture (Sunflower and Bees to say "Bee the Best you this summer" But will need to be able to wash it off and change it out. Is the paint you use the best to wash off and change out? Thanks so much and WOW! You are talented!!
Out of curiosity how much would you charge for a print? We are trying to make stamps for a medicare for all action and it would be awesome to have a decorative stamp rather than the ugly signs people usually make
I can only think that Bozeman is where Sheldon tried to escape to as the safest place in the US and was mugged at the train station. And that you should call yourselves Bozites. Loved the art. Loved the video. ❤️

I’m getting ready to do a window decal on a local herbal/essential oil store for an event dedicated to Emmet Kelly Jr (the worlds first sad clown). And I’d planned on airbrushing it. But after seeing the ability to freehand on windows, I’m gonna follow-suit. Love that you get to do what I’ve always wanted to. I can’t wait to meet strangers!
Don't use if you have a LLC Member's, Corp, etc. Freshbooks allows crooks to use there software. A an LLC member another member refuses to give me the account records which violates the operating agreement. Then after providing the operating agreement they have the nerve to try to twist the clear definition and refuse to give me access to the accounting.
i love your window painting vlogs! I'm getting ready to paint my first window for a shop. these videos are super helpful. thanks for showing us all the steps!
