Pianist James Carson has developed a new form of music and for the last eleven years has been producing and directing Cabin Music, a feature film, to share it with the world. While attending the New England Conservatory, studies with Joe Maneri, Cecil Taylor, and the poet Robert Creeley led James to walk away from music and backpack overland from Spain to Japan. On his return to Northern Alberta, Canada, he then spent five years designing, building, and practicing in a remote strawbale cabin. The musical result was multilayered, detailed, meditative, and harmonious. "I wanted to play the whole piano at once,” says Carson, “in the same way that a single breeze can cause the entire forest to dance and tremble in unison.” He lives in New York City and returns to his cabin regularly.
James is one of the top 2 biggest sets of ears I've ever had the pleasure of playing music with in my whole entire lifetime! One time we were sitting in my little apartment in Edmonton, myself and two others and James SANG for us a symphony he wrote while he was at New England! The experience of hearing him sing all the parts was as deeply moving and visceral as though we were sitting in a concert hall hearing the premier! Playing improvised duets with him on various occasions in the very early 2000s have been some of the most deeply challenging and provocative moments of my musical life! Love you James!!
I had the privilege of recently attending what I believe was the European premiere of the film, with James Carson in person. Cabin Music is a uniquely absorbing aesthetic and mental experience as well as a mind-blowing achievement. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in music, art , film-making or just living your life with purpose!

Re: the conflict, I believe it will come down to obstacles, from the smallest to the largest scale, being created and removed at exactly the right locations and in the exact right moment. The logistics of a military convoy, for instance, depend on millions of small parts, screws, individual checks and safety protocols. Any one of which could be overlooked at any time. And the same goes for government decisions, rulers, whether in democracies or dictatorships-obstacles arise and are either overcome or not according to sometimes infinitesimal, unseen forces. The mission of Ganesha is "Obstacle to protect the bath." In the I Ching, 39 Obstacle shows water flowing down a mountain; while the removal of the obstacle is 40 Liberation: a cloudburst in the sky, raining down. But there is also the mission of Mars: "War to protect the peace." I would say that all three have a role to play in this moment.

The obstacles and present situation are very difficult and will take a lot of skill and careful coordination. I think the outlook is good but it will take time.
@@CabinMusic Exactly what I think...but I am missing Politians like Mr.Brandt....The most of them now are on the wrong place there, no real Diplomats...hope the best...and for the people in the cold....

No - that ´s not fair !... - coming from a sunny 17 degrees warm autum wandering with yellow leaves and green grass and blue skye and seeing my falkon - friend.....knowing it will be colder from tomorrow on...- you sent me back to missing spring and bathing in my little river here so much !!!....that breaks my heart ;) ! I thought you have spring now ;)...good weather here , but too warm an too dry...most of the people living here , are not born here , and the weather changed in last 10 Jears or so so massive , that if here are two days rain , the people say : Soo long bad weather period !- and have bad mood...But it concerns me the dryness here! And in other countryparts they where drowning. But in population no one sees , they think , they can live without farming ...so far away from nature in their minds. Ha - please sorry for that twirling english today ;)
