I am a big boy, for the other big backs out there, the thermal underwear are great for keeping warm if you are outside. However after walking and then going into an Academic building afterwards, shew they get toasty so just beware.
Did you need to write a resume or join specific clubs to show interest etc or was purely on GPA? at this time in 2024 even if accepted to UIUC can't do an internal transfer to CS
I've sent an inquiry to a company, it's been 4 days and they didn't answer. I also sent them a follow up message yesterday. What should I do? I really wanna start a youtube channel where I review things and give feedback on them.
Hi, I’m currently a middle schooler and I want to attend Troy’s IB program as well. For the entrance test I do have a few questions if you don’t mind answering. How hard was the exam? Do I need to prepare before hand? What did the exam test? Do you have to retake the test every year?
current incoming sophomore at Troy in troy tech. Don't stress about it too much. I have a friend who scored 30% in the math segment of the test (alg. 1), and 68% in the reading comprehension and still got in. based that you want to do IB i assume that ur well above grade level. the bar is set pretty low
Hey! So now obviously times have changed but does anyone know if it’s possible to do a double major, I got into cognitive science but to do a double major in CS + X program specifically the linguistics one? Is that a hard/impossible switch if I’m already in the CLAS?
I remember Chem 105 (?) from 1960. It was a one semester course that covered two semesters as a substitute for 103 and 104. By taking 105 you didn't have to take 103 and 104. Then there was quantitative analysis which had 1:00 to 5:30 labs twice a week.
Hello, is it harder to get accepted to CS+ physics or only CS. Also, Does CS+ Physics mean I will have around half of teh CS coursework and half of the physics coursework? Lastly, Does adding a second choice a computer engineering decrease my chances of getting CS. Thank YOu
85 or better yet 97mm wheels on the longboard and you can ride over those big cracks in the road as well. Do you still longboard? I found a decent maple 9ply at the thrift store for $15 last week :3
Hi! New CS freshman here---I'm wondering if there are any specific CS or technical course requirements to graduate? (I looked online and I saw that there are only the GenEds and Cultural Studies requirements, so does that mean you can just choose whatever technical classes you want?)
For new viewers. If you are not currently enrolled at UIUC as of 2023, you will not be able to transfer into pure CS (CS at Grainger) anymore. The department has decided to close down intra-collegiate transfers for some odd reason. Instead you can only apply for CS + X programs within UIUC. Students from outside UIUC can still transfer into pure CS because the university has to keep "state pathway programs" (from community colleges) open. If you want to do CS and you don't get in for pure CS at UIUC (and have no interest in CS + X), you are now definitely better off going elsewhere. Even if your plan is still to transfer into pure CS at UIUC.
I have the same issues in Des Moines IA. Very rarely do I see film or digital cameras in our local thrift stores. Out of town when we are traveling I find one now and then. eBay ends up being my primary resource.
Hi Brian. My daughter is committing to cs @uiuc. She turned down full ride at Rutgers to go here oos. Your videos are helpful. Just want to think of anyone else did the same before and is happy about thieir decision of choosing UIUC
Thanks Brian for the informative video. I am from Bay Area, California and visited the campus just 2 days ago. My daughter got accepted there for Data Science as Major and Computer Science as minor. She is also accepted in UC Davis for the same. If possible, would you compare and share your opinion? we need to decide between UC Davis and Urbana Champaign. Thanks
Hi, I got into both and will be attending Urbana Champaign for CompE. I’m out of state for both colleges, but in the end UIUC gave me a much better financial aid package. Either way, I would choose Illinois(it’s just better).
