Dan Amakye Dede is a Ghanaian musician. He is one of Ghana's premier high-life artists popularly referred to as "Iron Boy", "the high-life maestro" and "Abrantie". Amakye Dede was born in Agogo, Asante Akim. He attended Agogo Roman School. On 2 January 2016, he was involved in an accident that killed his manager and seriously injured his bodyguard. Amakye Dede was installed as a sub-Chief at Agogo in the Asante Akim traditional area.

yea he used to play with Amakye in Germany and when Amakye finally migrated to Ghana, he rode a motorbike all the way from Germany to the North and Amakye went to pick him up. Amakye himself narrated this story and he said he had no idea the dude was even coming to Ghana but when he reached the north of Ghana he called him to tell him he rode a motorbike all the way from Germany to come to see him in Ghana and since then they have been together in ghana till date, according to Amakye
