Thanks! I always wondered how many calligraphy experts write continuously without lifting the nib/point from the paper! For a leftie, I guess they may have to make further adjustment..Normally , they write at a different angle..(not an exact mirror of the right handed)..many LH children wrongly adopt the claw grip which impedes good writing. All in all , this is a fantastic science which intrigues me everyday😊
what do i need to do if i had a blowout but its heald but looks like crap like the bumps you say can it look nice again or do i need to live with this forever
Well my two cents (even though this video was made quite awhile ago) is that I ended up really messing up my Arizona choice. I ended up getting a narrow (lame) and a soft food bed. OMG. No. I had them for years and all of a sudden, I started to get blisters on my inner arch and pain in my legs. I think the soft foot bed gets too smoothed out and I did not have any conformation to the sole and of course, silly me, narrow was just not the way to go. I'm going to totally try the regular footbed and pray that the break-in period is relatively painless and will be a better fit. I also love wearing these babies with really obnoxious wool socks too so there's that. :)
Rest in Peace. I found your video trying to correct how I hold my pen trying to learn Spencerian Penmanship. And wanted to see if you had more, found this video interesting and clicked only to find you’ve passed on. I found the pen video very helpful and encouraging. You seem to have lived quite a life, please be at peace.
Years ago I got plantar fasciitis on my right foot and the only shoe that helped and got rid of it was the regular hard foot bed. The pain was gone immediately for me when I put shoe on. Kept wearing shoes till I healed. It took months and didn't care as long I was pain free during healing process.
Just started month ago and I'm now at 10g. Had my first complication this stretch. No puss but it's throbbing and it's tender on back. Appreciate your advice.
what about glass can we heal our ears not really blowouts but hurt lol I was combing my b hair n darn brush got into my hole🙄🤭ear hole and i pulled ouch! now im having issues they get crusty moist no blood or itch just a little pain when i put my plugs in (I always remove my tacks at night they are size 19mm) should i apply neosporin or maybe aquaphor?? can u please help surely dont want to down size😢😂I feel if i down size wont be able to go up again🥺Idk just this mmm funny feelin' ty in advance😊
Hi thanks, I like your style of talking and organizing the info :-). I was wondering as well, are they good for wide feet? (10cm?). I had other wildlings (paper aka Tanuki, and some canvas ones, but my feet "grew" w barefoot training and toe stretching, so I'm not sure if the wool ones will stretch more. They also say "wider" on the website but that can be very relative so I'm dubious). Thank you for any tips!
I think i blew out my ear recently. There is no lip but there is pain, inflammation, and some puss. I’ve been cleaning with salt water all day. Glad i found this video I’m definitely going to get some of that soap
I'm at 12mm and was stretching for 2 and a half years, my lobes are thick and stretchy. After I got to 8g I stretched every 3 months, all painless and no resistance with single flare glass plugs 1mm increments. Yes, slow and steady wins the race. Now I'm waiting 4 months to stretch yo 13mm.
You're doing it right. Get to the point that letter form and joins are second nature before complicating your writing with a pointed pen / calligraphy nib. I practiced for at least a year, it's no longer practice it's just the way l write. A month ago l bought all the the bits and bobs to do Copperplate. I'm back to the learning faze. Good luck on your journey.
I blew my left one out. I took the plug completely out and it has grown up but it still has dry skin. How long do I have to wait before I repierce it and start reguaging? Please help my right one didn’t blow out and I still have the tunnel in. The left one is the one that blew out. Help. I want to be able to gauge my left one back and not have to take the right one out
Thank you for this video. Specifically the information on the soft footbed. I have always bought the original hard footbed. I wanted the taupe suede Boston, but it was only available in the soft footbed. I have never had such a problem with a pair of birks before. The issues you described with the soft footbed is exactly what I have been experiencing. I thought I was loosing it, until this video. I will be sticking with the original footbed from now on. Thank you.
No one says to not wear ear weights; they say « do not wear them constantly »…. Where do you live that body modification professionals have said to not wear ear weights?
I started stretching when I was young maybe 11 or 12 . But I never force stretched my ears, I kept my plugs in long enough u til they were falling out and I'd lose them. Then I'd go up a size. I unfortunately had a mishap at 1 inch that the piercer for some odd reason decided to use a taper that was way to big to get the plug in. He tore my ear on the upper part right next to where the skin flap connects to my face. And I didn't stretch them for a long time after that. Just allowing the tissue to heal and letting the scar tissue attempt to get some elasticity back to it. I went a good 4-5 years without stretching, my ears no longer would just stretch on their own. It was a pain staking process. Lots of oil and vitamins, and after a while I noticed my ears were getting more elasticity. Not as much as before but some. Then this last winter (I live in upstate central Ny) we had a particularly cold one. Not as much snow as usual but cold. I had to go out to help shovel after a particular storm and I should've taken my tunnels out or made sure they were covered better. Well after about an hour I noticed my lobes were hurting and I went in the house and sure enough they were dry cold and cracking. I had a heck of a time healing em up from that, the dry cracked skin was swollen and angry for about a week. And nothing I did helped. Until I used my husband's beard oil and balm. Black rebel beard Co and it was a complete turn around. They use emu oil and a bunch other really good oils for skin. I had him buy a whole sample set just for my ear lobes. I had one spot start to thin but I think I caught it early and I downsized and have been letting it grow back. Lots of massaging the lobes make sure the blood flow is good. Lots of oil and pampering. But I came looking for info and your video was so informative on thinning skin and other trauma so I apprexiate your video it was amazing!
Hello! I want to start stretching my ears and i was wondering if you could help me find a really good site to buy a kit from :). My right ear is more sensitive than my left ear. I had worn these earrings and my left ear was fine i was able to wear them forever if i wanted to in that ear but for my right ear it kept itching and getting crusty then started to bleed 🥲 lol
UrbanBodyJewelry has some good kits, I suggest a glass kit, titanium kit, or a plain stainless steel kit. You want to avoid acrylic kits and colored stainless steel kits. And make sure you buy a good oil to use like jojoba oil.
Also I suggest waiting till the right ear stops giving you trouble because the issues you describe sound like its not fully healed so you might wanna let it heal a few more weeks/months
the wait between the stretches is the thing that really makes them fascinating to me, it's like they tell a story, it's a journey. but at the same time im too damn hyperactive to leave my lobes alone and i can't stop thinking about the goal size 😭😭
