Midjourney text prompt for the coffee glass: a clean calm and modern harmonic coffee commercial photograph of a glass of coffe and milk mixing in the glass in a very beautiful way, glass is placed to the right in the scene. Canon 100mm lens with aperture 8 --ar 16:9 --s 50 --v 6.0
Looks great, Martin! I'm wondering though whether you've noticed or not that the size of the coffee bag is..."somewhat" bigger than your average coffee glass. 😆😆😆😆So, judging from your picture it's either a glass of coffee is rather....sizable and it could keep you awake all night. Or...the bag is smaller than it was envisioned by that manufacturer. You know, they may sue you for "downsizing" their product. Careful there! 😆😆😆😆😆
Hehe 😁 The AI generated coffee glass is a bit smaller than the coffee bag, just like in the final image. All good there. I think you think that the glass in the image is my personal small coffee glasses I always use, that's not the case. Cheers! 👍🏻
@@botvidssonNo, I don't think that the glass in the image is your "personal small coffee glass". I listen to what you have to say whenever I watch your videos. I am just curious, Martin, HOW DO YOU EXACTLY KNOW that AI generated coffee glass is a "bit smaller" than the coffee bag? 😆😆😆😆🤗 Sorry, for being so... "intrusive", but did you actually set parameters for it before it was generated? If you did, it had to be rather big parameters because the bag is significantly bigger than the average coffee glass. 😆😆😆😆😆
Yes often it's out of camera. But also composite shots and AI support in the retouching work more and more. But still no clients who asked for AI generated backgrounds. It will come...
I suggest taking the photo first ans then having AI create the environment/scene around it. I have found that AI does an excellent job at matching lighting and shadows.
Watching this video brought tears to my eyes. This features my favorite coffee in Melbourne. Vincent has been making coffee for over 10 years. He is incredibly dedicated to his craft, and his coffee is exceptionally good. However, this is not the most important part. More importantly, we both love your videos. Your photography spirit is like a beacon in the darkness, allowing me to stay focused on my work without being distracted by the outside world. We have spent countless nights watching your videos and learning how to shoot while photographing all of our company's products. Vincent is also an excellent product photographer who has had a significant impact on me. I can even say he is my photography teacher. We are both your fans. --- William.C
Wow William, Your comment truly touched my heart. I'm so glad to hear that my videos have had such a positive impact on both you and Vincent. It’s amazing to know that my work can be a beacon for you and that you find inspiration in it. Thank you both for being such dedicated fans!
Hi, it's actually a black glass table top from IKEA called Glasholm. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore, might be able to find on the 2nd hand market.
so confusing i have been trying to achieve this result the whole day i couldn't, and i went home and tried to put in place the same setup on 3d software to mimic the idea but i really got more frustrated, could you please tell me where is the fine line between hard and soft light in the scene?
Why do I need it> This is not a product photo ( by this we mean the products we sell). It is simply a generated photo. If I could add my product and change its backgrounds, angles or the whole composition. Yes, that would be generating a PRODUCT PHOTO.
@@botvidsson small yes 😁 But you know that great things come in small packages,. It’s not the size of the room but the magic created and emanates from it!
Thanks you Martin. I would to know by what type of photo begin? Something very simple without any water (because of living room) and with not big props (to not occupy many of space). Do you have any idea which type of basic photo with very nice "product photography effect"?
@@botvidsson Martin, you ask to know what we would to see in next videos. My question is: what photography to do at beginning. Something simple without big lights, and many of flash. What we can do only with one flash and may be one diffuser? Also can you can talk about your path of learning? How did you begin to do product photography? Excuse me my English.
very cool, but...the bombay bottle really doesnt look natural. look at the lights: on the other bottles, it is a hard light. on your bottle is a very soft light. look how the other bottles shine, their highlights. the generated image looks like a shot without soft lightning. i think you understand :)
"What would I like to see?" I photograph older and rare chandeliers, ceiling lamps, wall lamps and table lamps for an online shop in 6 different views. Often they are larger and shiny lamps. My difficulty is finding a compromise between time expenditure and requirements. These are: 1 isolated photo when switched on, 2 further views with, 1 without light in front of a background onto which the light falls, and 2 detailed photos. Unfortunately, there is no one online who photographs larger things of this kind. The stated aim is to show the special nature of the design, to show the material and the scattering of light. Ideally, everything should not be too objective but emotional. I have to photograph around 1000 lamps in a short space of time, so I have to make compromises. Can you please photograph a really expensive lamp (e.g. with crystal glass) with 6 photos? That would certainly be a big but great challenge.
Sounds very tuff. I would love to do that, always love a challenge but the tricky part is to get my hands on that kind of product. Any lamp store owners here? Please contact me for free kick ass photos.
@@botvidsson all good struggling to get enquiries.. but I just started to search for it so I'm positive... You was my main inspiration.. You are the best! :-)
Great idea. I got beer images on production, a kind of beer-in-disguise silicon cases. Gonna make some splashes for the last image on that series with no regrets. I prefer coffee.😂
Great vid as usual, Martin! 🙂.. used to really enjoy some of your more complex setups back in the day .. and trying to work out how the light was bouncing around (generally unsuccessfully! 😁) .. and the choice of palette colors ..
