Now I remember why this game was a disappointment for me. The pacing already slow on PC, the Amiga 500 version was unbearable. And I enjoyed MI2 on the same platform
Was it actually possibe to runt this on an ega monitor back in the day to get these gfx or would the game error or give major screen corruption or something? You can run most scumm games on ega in scummvm even if they said vga only.
I still have the original SKYFOX 🦊 for my Commodore 64 as one of the Ariolasoft game tapes 😺👍🕹️. SKYFOX II is also amazing and has one of the best cover art works 🖋️🖊️✏️🖍️ ever 😺👍🕹️.
Was this all voiced by one guy? It's not _awful,_ but you can kinda tell. This gent is definitely no Gary Owens, either - though he wasn't trying to be, either. Anyway, this remake gives me _Escape From Monkey Island_ vibes. I kinda dig it. I bet they didn't cover every possible event in the game, though. (;
I never tried killing everyone off like this. I knew how you could kill everyone off, I just never killed all four of them off. I forgot how cool the sound effects were for the Guardian of the Sphinx when it happened. Props to Matthew Kane for the sound effects and Chris Grigg for the sound program.
@@sammymarlo Absolutely. Theres a reason Epyx hired Chris Grigg away from Lucasfilm. They needed him and probably paid him a lot more. This game basically re-used his Maniac Mansion sound program and a few of the sound effects from Maniac Mansion (and one from Labyrinth). Matthew Kane had to do the music and rest of the sound effects.
Hey! Thanks so much for playing! I hope you enjoy it. The Tandy sound sounds great! I'm so sorry that the sounds directly extracted from the original game are only one voice. There is someone who is going to work on making full three voice tandy sound for it. I'll be sure to let you know when that updated version is available. Thanks again for playing!
Holy cow! I know this game since my childhood, but had no idea you can do that to Sushi. Early LucasFilm Adventures were kind of cruel against pets. Putting Eds hamster into the microwave in Maniac Mansion and here it's Sushi.
It was in mine. We had a poorly photocopied code book, but for some reason, they gave us section 3 and 4 as the same codes. So when the game would give us section 4, we'd have to re-boot the game and start where we last saved it....always saving before a visa code flight came up.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-7 “For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.” 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” 1 John 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Acts 3:19-20 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you-even Jesus.” (NIV) May the Lord Jesus Christ save the lost. 🩵
This is for sure some of the best graphics on the C64 for its time. Sachs abandoned the game to work on Defender of the Crown on Amiga. I hope he will someday return to his roots and finish Time Crystal.
