@@PaulMathias1 I would say if you can find it used. I would go with that. They are great. If you can deal with the weight you will certainly be rewarded with a reliable mode of transportation.
@@makusadventure6130 yes it has been replaced. Once I got the second scooter i do not experience it as much. It normally cuts off only when I push the vehicle too fast on wet ground
I experience this with the single hub motor Using it for 8km a day, it happens when im going home and my commute includes climbing a bridge But when I replaced with Dual hub..Never had any issue. Single hub is only for very short disbtances and any climbing ( can be done) is not recommended for single hub( power issue)
My vehicle would turn off when two actions happened repeatedly. First, during rain when I take off, the wheels start spinning, causing the vehicle to turn off to combat the wheel spin. Second, when going downhill and using regenerative braking, the vehicle would turn off. To combat this issue, I use the drum brakes when going downhill and put the vehicle in gear 2 or turn the starting torque down. This has only happened a handful of times, and I’m under 500 miles on the vehicle.
Wow, I solute you brother, a motivational view for me to see, single father of 4 recently started riding a scooter only form of joy in years other then my children, life at a stand still, on a new found spiritual journey
Absolutely, after replacing the rear tire, I can confidently confirm that the original tires are indeed puncture-resistant. However, the self-healing feature only consists of a gel inside the tire. When push comes to shove, my 230lb body put too much weight on those tires.
Hey! Looks like the scooter has been holding up well. How many miles do you have on it so far? I haven’t tried the mic in the helmet yet. If I did then my videos would sound more like a deep breathing tutorial haha.
It’s been holding up quite well. I am going to continue experimenting with the mic placement to see is there is a way to capture the ambient noise outside as well as my voice during the times I want to chat with you guys
I think your audio glitches out around the 3 min mark. As for the tires, I pump mine to 51/52 PSI as you will always lose a little when youu attatch and remove the pump. The tires are also tubless so they will lose PSI over time as well, which is why its recomended to check them weekly. Mine are usualy around the 47/48 mark after a week which from my understanding is normal loss.
The stability has definitely improved. Now, it mainly wobbles if I go over 30mph, which is somewhat anticipated. So, it does still have a bit of a wobble. To get the company's attention, I shared a video detailing my experience online. Despite my attempts with calls, emails, and support tickets, I didn't get a response until the video was up. I'm not advising you to do the same, but rather to document what you're experiencing so the support team can fully understand your issue. Ever since then, they've been quite responsive whenever I reach out.
@@MrMotoMotivate That's a bummer.. Does it matters if the battery is fully charged or it happens no matter what? When using e-brake? Thanks for your time and help :)
@@peugeot206rc8 When the battery is fully charged and a good example is when I am going down a hill. If I use the regan brake I can expect the scooter to turn off at the bottom of the hill. Also noticed it turns off when the wheels start to spin. Think during take off in the rain or in the snow ( I live in Chicago area). I am used to it now and as I said if it does happen I know how to react and get it started back up quickly. It's a none issue when I learned this is normal for scooters to protect the battery from spikes in the energy need due to slipping tire or using the ebrake too much.
It’s a solid investment if you are in the market for a quality machine. It’s my favorite device due to the cockpit. The weight won’t be an issue if you do not plan to climb stairs with it
If its like the Apollo line, if you use the regen brake on a full charger, it willl overpower the battery therefore causing a shut down. Use the physical brakes till you get the battery to 90%
Lots of other channels show the lights. The whole point of the video Jersey was to make fun of the lady in the video blinded by the lights. If you want to see the lights you have many RU-vid’s doing that content. I appreciate you stopping by though…
Dude, look at your title and look at your content. It has nothing to do with your title. I thought you’re gonna do a review and tell people why would they buy the small version but you talk about nothing what is this nonsense I was going to subscribe, but this is ridiculous🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I purchased it herepunk.support/product/replacement-tire-with-metal-frame/ and yes I changed it myself. I used this video to help me change it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cE2HVPFflzY.htmlsi=OrhG-hCACZB3GfUC
Everything alright with the Punk or you just switching things up? Just picked one up myself and aside from some minor issues am loving it so far. Keep up the content👍🏼
Everything's fantastic with the Punk! I had another rear tire pop... So, I took the opportunity to film myself cruising on my Segway GT1. Ever since I installed the Quadlock, it's been a game-changer not having to stress over my phone dying during my rides. How's your experience been with it so far?
@@MrMotoMotivate Haven't had much a chance to ride due to severe weather here in FL but it seems my rear tire already has a slow leak. Waiting to hear back from support on options I may just have to pick up some armordilloz and see if it does the trick.
That’s a fair question. I did not know what the sound did as well. Since the Gt1 is very quiet 🤫 when you travel on it the engine provides an engine sound that is synced via Bluetooth. When you accelerate the engine makes a noise that mimics an engine sound. It also works as a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music 🎵
I enjoy the scooter. It is my primary daily commuter and I have put just under 500 miles on the vehicle. I stand 6’1, 230lbs and I am able to routinely hit the advertised speeds when I need the speed to pass traffic. For the price it is a solid vehicle
@UCRX1EyO%F0%9F%98%80C3j8W2HOqCxRL_xw This is just a friendly tip: Once you have the vehicle, make sure to inflate the tires to 50 PSI. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!
I answered your question in my other video but I will add more context. I use the Punk Rider Pro to commute the 5 miles total to and from work. It gets up to speed quickly and offers a very comfortable ride. Right now I have a busted rear tire that I am repairing but I enjoy the vehicle. Feel free to ask any other questions I can help with
Great questions. This is my second vehicle. My first vehicle worked well at first. Then, it began turning off randomly while I was riding it. I made a few videos about that experience. The company sent me a second vehicle. It has worked without any problems. Customer support did not answer my email about my sticking throttle. However, they saw my videos and contacted me. They wanted to fix the issue. The second vehicle works fine so far. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. I'll be happy to answer. I'm making another video about my experience with the second vehicle. Watch this video if you're interested in a warranty exchange. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qzmec43CIoc.html
@@GiovanniHale thanks for the reply and thanks for sharing your honest feedback. I’m hesitant to purchase since they seem so new and appear to be making updates on the fly. I’m between the pink rider pro and an Apollo city right now. Both are for fun and riding around with my kids but I’m a bigger guy and need something with dual motors that can support me. I’ll check out your videos thanks again for posting!
@@garteaga482, you are most welcome. I would consider if you are planning to purchase this vehicle just for fun or if you are considering this device for something long-term fun.
No worries they will respond to you. Keep in mind it may take them a few days to do so. I did not hear from them, so i made a video and they responded quickly.
Yes Punk Electric ⚡️ made good with getting me a new machine quickly. I shipped them the old unit back and even before they opened the box I had a new Zeus in the house. I have rode it just under 💯 miles and I feel like it’s a totally different machine. Tire compound and the stem latch are so much better on this unit. No stem wobble at higher speeds. They made right the issue. So far so good 😊
I miss my punk scooter a lot. I loved the ride and the speed it offered. Cruising at 30 mph allowed me to weave in and out of traffic with ease. I miss the regenerative braking system it had. However, I don't miss its weight. I love that I can lift the P65 with one arm and put it wherever possible. It's hard to admit, but I miss my scooter 😢.
I would contact them to check if they can ship a box to you. If you're not facing any issues right now, then you should be fine. I remember the box had a note saying "keep this box" when I opened it.
I have not noticed that issue yet, but I’ll be on the lookout. I will say it felt like out of the box, it was really punchy. But ever since the first charge the power delivery hasn’t quite felt the same
If you just received your vehicle just keep an eye out for the first random turn off. The first time it happened to me I was doing the distance rice and it turned off 3 times. I am glad the brakes still work when the power turns off.
Hey man I was refunded yesterday for my Punk Rider PRO. They are addressing the STEM wire stuffing issue. This is why your Scooter keeps turning off it's been confirmed by many others so they are currently working on a redesign and they said if I come back they will give me a discount however, I am very happy with Kurikin G2 Master. Less settings to play with an No app wiring is near perfect you can tailor to your needs via the P custom menu from Regen braking to wheel force to speed sleep mode etc.. it's well worth the money 💰 I would check it out if I were you. But yes in a nutshell I was refunded and Punks customer service is very good 👍 so I appreciate that to say the least.
I will make a video about the process. Support responded to me today so I have to send my unit back but here is what they said the refund process: We will not proceed for refund unless it is damage unit right out of the box and after an exchange. We always go for parts replacement first unless we find that there is a need for a new unit exchange. In your case, we like to retrieve the unit back for investigation based on the auto shutdown. In the case of any refund, we will charge processing and restocking fee based on condition of the scooter.
Hey man I have the same issue dealing with the exact same ticket now. ER code 1 It's such BS it's the stem that causes the wire to split. It's a failed design and I sent mine back for full refund. I went with Kurikin G2 Master now and it's night and day better
No problems but a few things I want to warn you about so you expect them when they happen. I use this device daily to commute on a train about 1.5 hours one way. The latching mechanism is not trust worthy in it’s current state. When you lift the latch, if you do not get it directly in the correct spot, it will come unlatched. So if you are taking it up or down stairs. Make sure you hold the latch in place. Second is if you are going down a steep incline and you use your regenerative breaking you will find the device will turn off. I think this is just to protect the motors but it’s worth mentioning. I just hit my first 100 miles and and plan to post that video so i can cover a few things I noticed in my first 100 miles.
I know. When I got mines I had watched so many videos from the Philippines I already knew what to do when it arrived. I will tell you make sure that you air the tires to 50 psi before you take your first ride because it will make a difference.
@@MrMotoMotivateWord. Quick question for you… with the bolts for the four-squared handle bar install, did you put the washers on BEFORE or AFTER threading the screw in the holes? I did them AFTER
I put mines after then when i tightened them I noticed they seemed off so I took them off and put them back on before. They did not explain how to put them on
