It was a little bit of a let down. I can honestly say the only thing it did noticeable different than the CR, was corner better, which is just a trait RMs are known for. The power wasn't bad, but was lacking compared to the CR, which was a mid to top end monster. I loved the RMs styling, and the steel frame made it feel more plush compared to the CRs rigid aluminum perimeter frame. So that RM250 was my brother's bike. I sucked at riding back then (when this video was made). A couple years later he bought a 2002 YZ250. That bike was much better overall. Better power delivery, the suspension was way better than the stuff on both RM and CR. Plus, aftermarket support was plentiful. I liked the YZ so much, that if I never bought my CR250, I may have ended up getting a YZ250 years ago. But there's something about the mechanical powervalve motor on the CR that just makes it a joy to ride...
I bought a 10oz weight shortly after watching this video. Installed a G2 10% reduction throttle tamer as well and now the RM250 is a wicked trail bike... totally transformed it's manners. And after getting used to it I think it's improved on the track as well. Traction is so much better everywhere!
Check if the little metalwire clip is still in your spark plug cap that secures it to your spark plug, it might be gone or not positioned right! It can still make spark without it but can fly off
I sold it back in 2017. It was my first time rebuilding a 4 stroke and I did it all wrong. New piston had too much compression for 93 pump gas, I installed one of the piston rings the wrong way, and the timing was way off. It would have blue smoke coming from it while running. So it was burning something it shouldn't. Complete mess. That's what happens when a 16 year old with zero experience tries to do something way above their skill level. Im not into quads anymore. Now I just ride dirt bikes, and dual sports and don't have an issue with rebuilding them at all. You can keep up to date with sebe105 on my Instagram (sebe1015). I have photos of all sorts of stuff that was never seen on RU-vid.
@@sebe1015 it’s all good man you live an learn. Props to you having the confidence to rebuild it man. I don’t have Instagram. Are you from Long Island btw? That accent..
Exactly. Right now, Freetown State Forest is full of water on the legal trails. Not fun when your stuck in 1st with your legs pointed out forward, going through puddles.
That's how it used to be years ago. Now you can just show up and ride. No signing anything or donations. Unless you see the track owner and slip him some bills.
I’m on a 110 and it’s too small I don’t know what bike to get people keep telling me to get a 85 but idk if it’s the right bike as I’ve never road a 2 stroke before
holy hell this was painful to watch I recently got one of these and it took me about 5 minutes to understand how to run the thing properly. you people should have looked at the manual before doing half the things you did to it. fyi there is a compression lever on the right side at the top of the engine block that helps with starting
Dude you have to go to Edgemont, on the North Side of the Train Yard there’s a ATSF Warbonnet and there’s a Fake Bonnet on the South Side of the Yard + there’s BNSF Executive SD70 Macs in the Yard
I bought it when I was 18, and through safety insurance, it was about $1,500 to $2,500 a year. I can't give you the exact figure because the price was combined with a Honda Civic that was on my policy.
total crap as a survival knife , wont hold an edge after battoning only a few bits of wood knife only looks good after owning it for years i use my mora much cheaper also mtech is sore to hold after heavy use
At the time of filming, we had maybe one year of dirt bike riding experience. I wouldn't expect someone at one year to be able to ride too impressively when they were only able to ride every other weekend.
Bike felt fine, could have been an audio thing. The mic quality sucked with that camera. But at the time of making that video, it may have had the original Mikuni TMX 38 equipped. Those are notoriously difficult to get dialed in and keep it there. Since then I switched to Keihin PWK Airstriker, then a Lectron H series, and now a Smartcarb SC2.
When you go to kill sabal (you have to choose Anita side) basically the game gives u infinite ammo for the gun to kill sabal aka the 1911. What you wanna do here is before you go to the cabin is to equip the grenade launcher. (Havent tested it with any other guns) and I had unlimited semi auto grenade launcher ammo (or just gl ammo in general) got pretty good at mortaring with it lol. Hope this helps
