In options, go to air battle settings and go down to airspeed, you can select TAS or IAS, IAS is the speed of air moving past your plane and therefore how much speed you have to work with. The higher you go the thinner the lower the IAS
I think the story would've varied wildly if your opponent flew a plane that was on a more equal footing with yours, something like a tempest mk V for example, or goodness forbid an LF mk IX. But beside that, I still liked the video! :D You pointing out your mistakes and analyzing what you should've done is great, because it teaches everyone how to fly and dogfight better. Keep it up. o7
what are other types of engagements? like dog fighting is a pretty broad fighting style, and energy fight is one of them. based on this definition (which might be correct accurate or anything at all) what could be other sub-options to dogfight? same question with different styles of combat and their sub-options? thanks for the time. or maybe just link me smth to read, worthwile that is.
Technically, all aerial engagements are energy fighting. Boom and zoom is diving, attacking and climbing away from an enemy. Energy traps are bleeding an enemy of speed to make them stall out in your guns, dogfighting/turn fighting is trying to outmanuver your enemy which requires energy management, aka knowing when to slow down and when you need to disengage, reset the fight and re-engage. Defyn has a couple energy guides and his videos are pretty good. I suggest you check them out.
@wilbysot343 i had a 1v1 in a mc202 vs a p38. It was over after 10 sec the p38 lost all the advantage instantly even the altitude advantage the player was level 73 he did everything wrong
@@swedihgame yeah, thats my experience too, and im sure that, if it hadn’t been over in 10 seconds, 27 other planes wouldve showed up to fight *you* specifically
And what does naval require? Cause about like I don't know... 100%? of the time I play Bluewater it is just whoever shoots first and has the most powerful cannons wins hah
