@@AllenAbbadonia she is in them for the first few weeks and then they move out. She only has a few weeks of lockdown and gets breaks during the day from the babies :)
I would suggest you jump right into making another box. You have identified the glaring errors you need to correct next time around. As for the hinges, order some Highpoint 90 degree stop hinges that are installed flush to the back of the box. Watch some videos on making a 45 degree sled for your miters. It’s not difficult and all your miters will close perfectly. Finally, plane your bottom to 3/8” and inset it.
I will not be keeping all of them. Most of my rabbits born this year were bucks, and I wasn't sure yet who I was keeping. I would prefer to have 2 bucks and 4 does.
I see you're a relatively new channel, and RU-vid recommended you to me in my homepage, which is a rare thing for it to do, so I stopped by to give a wave and show some support from the UK.

She was very nervous with her previous birth, and her cage was visible from all sides. So this time I kept her as enclosed as possible. I think she was more afraid of the storms (lightning) than rabbits and people but didn't want to risk it.
Nice! I have the same table, and something to consider if you're going to put storage underneath, is that it WILL get covered in dust, even with the vacuum attached up top. So maybe storage that is sealed, or stuff that doesnt mind being dusty.
It has been a lot easier than I thought! I think you could do grasses and anything they'd normally eat and they will enjoy it at any stage. I gave bolted lettuce and rutabaga last year and they loved it. Broccoli stems are also a favorite.
