Douche bags like y’all are the reason the Forrest service is handing out tickets to us locals who use our lbl resources sensibly. We are working hard to establish a good relationship with the Forrest service as well as the people who had this land stripped from them by the government, by mowing picnic areas and cleaning up cemeteries. Hope you get all the clicks you were after.
Did you even watch the video? It rained for a week before we got there, it was muddy, what do you want from us? We stayed on trail the entire time, never went looking for mud, never intentionally went hard through difficult spots (unless we tried slow and it didn't work), and left every camp cleaner than when we got there. But yes, please blame us for whatever anger issues you're having and call us names. Have a great day!
@@SpartanOverland there are plenty j in f gravel roads in lbl that lead to great camping spots. Have some common sense if it rains for 3 weeks go somewhere else or do something else. Btw these aren’t trails, they are roads and they get shut down because people like you come here and wallow them out for clicks and post it all over RU-vid which encourages other people to come do the same. Look at the thumbnail you and caption you used to get viewers’ attention.
@@patriotoverland4957 I'll let you in on a secret I don't usually tell people. Almost every time I plan an overland trip, it's to somewhere I've never been. Which means I usually only have a rough idea as to what to expect when I get there. It might surprise you to know that the "roads" you're referring to are classified as "Unmaintained/High Clearance Roads" which in most people's opinion would be a trail. These trips are planned months in advance and just deciding to "go somewhere else" isn't much of an option. So we do what we did, which is carry on with our plan and do our best to tread lightly. The thumbnail is far from as click-baity as it could have been. The bold eye catching part is OVERLANDING, not MUDDING AND RUTTING OUT ROADS. In fact, the photo is taken in Turkey Bay OHV. "Rain, mud, and recoveries" is literally just a description of what we did. None of it matters, you're mad, and you'll stay mad no matter what I tell you. Thanks for boosting our engagement.

@@itsthecarrs I believe Daisy will be at Garmin again, but I don't know for sure. Both camps were first come first served, but the first one had a payment drop box.

@@nickeyp3 we were getting some coolant leaking from the cover. We inspected the chain while we were in there but didn't replace it. From what I've read, replacing the chain is pretty simple.
Max patch can bw accessed either off interstaye 40 taking tge harmona den exit or you can go off hwy 25 that runa from newport tn towards hot springs,nx. Take the del rio hwy 107 exit and drive till you reach i want to say round or house mountain road that will run you from the northwest side up to max patch. It is a nice gravel access road. You can look up that route on bing maps.
There are plenty of black bears in Madison county,nc. I was up there the last weekend in April of this year feeding the appalachian trail thru hikers hikers. On one of those nights before and after watching the sunset I saw 2 small black bears within about a 3 hour period of time.
The trails youll ran in Va are pretty much my back yard. Im either wheelin them or running them on the duel sport. Glad youll enjoyed them. Come on back anytime & great video.
I run this trail often in my fj40. It’s a blast! Winter time is the best. We’ve got land 15 min from the trailhead on water we camp at when we run it. While you can run it either way, majority traffic flows the other way from how y’all ran it so it can get tight when you have oncoming traffic. If you ever want to run it again let me know and we can camp on the creek and I’ll bring the 40!
Umm. Asheville? Hurricane Creek and Max Patch definitely ain’t Asheville. That’s TN border and I live here. No one around here thinks we are anything near Asheville
I didn’t know any better and came down Daniel from the slab pile trail in a 1st gen sequoia and did end up getting some body damage but it’s was fun none the less!
Hi Daisy, if you still have the stock ones, maybe put them back in? See you at Expo East? A bunch has changed since last October. A new square drop for the Bronco and my wife is camping now and she actually seems to like it. Nothing too remote, starting with a close by State Forest to ease her into it.
