I will have to disagree with the limited inventory space but I like the rest. I've played this game deep into beta and I've seen it grow a lot firsthand.
D2 runewords are just crafted pieces of specific gear. They end up mandatory for most builds which also takes away from player choice and flexibility. I dont disagree that the implementation in D4 isn't the same thing, but I dont think its a bad thing. Its just one more system that will likely be improved moving forward.
It's because the time when D2 was released, the backend of the coding is so limited. People didn't realize what they have right now and just purely put all their attention to nostalgia. Runewords in D2 broke the game and all other items have become obsolete because of it.
I've said this exactly. They are not runewords. They are RUNES socketed into gear. They don't become something past the sum of their parts. It's terrible. It's like getting a 3 socket armor, and putting Jah, Ith, Ber and the outcome is "+5% Life (Jah), 15% damage to mana (Ith), 8% physical resist (Ber)". YEAH RUNEWORDS!!! No.
I dont think Diablo 2 fans are gonna be as happy with how they implemented this, as Blizzard thinks they are. In my opinion it's watered down, easier, less rewarding.
Just stick to playing d2 man. D2 runes words are not that good, and to be honest, it would make the game worse if they did exactly that for d4. Im glad they went a different way. D4's runes words potentially can be really good: it doesn't take away slots from your equipments ( uniqes, legendary...), easy to understand, and it can be expanded even wilder for example : for 1500 offering, you summon tyreal, Talrasha, or some mystical beast to deal massive damage or some unique buffs etc... Its up to their imagination. Dont let nostalgia hold you back. D2 was a good game, but it's not perfect.
You completely misunderstood my message. I want Runewords in D4 to be better than D2. D2 runewords had many flaws and I don't want to see D2 runewords into D4. Just a bit more thinking in the system
You missed the entire point. D2 runewords are exciting because they are completely transformative and create completely different builds. D4 just aren't and are 100% lazy which is on par for these devs.
If you wanted enigma, the closest you can get to it is the rune that replaces evade with a teleport :D I on the other hand am pleased with them. They do more than D2 runes did. In D2 runes were "craft a unique item you can't drop", and they didn't influence gameplay mechanics in any way. They were basically a crafting system only. I like that they are a crafting system as well as a gameplay/build mechanic now. They only bad thing about them is that they have only combinations of two. But this is probably good for the majority of people, because informing yourself about the game on websites is not fun for people, and you had to do this for D2 runes (or good luck getting Jah Ith Ber by accident :-).
Its even 29 lvl req. Its a fcken GG LLD beauty. Should have asked no less than 40k fg. 7k is a low lowball. Definitely trophy and when you have trophies forum gold means nothing. Go for online auctions for real money imo based on the fg equivalent.
I'm not entirely sure what you can get with Lucent in this game other than buying items from Auction house sold by other players. If that is the only thing, then I wouldn't necessary talk about strictly p2w as everything sold there has been acquired playing the game. And you can get Lucent same way yourself. Farm the dungeons and sell items in Auction house for Lucent and buy the items you need for your characters. That being said, if they start selling something which you can't acquire from the game, giving you competitive edge over other players. That will turn game to p2w. Besides everyone defines p2w differently in the head. I mean one could argue that Guild Wars 2 is p2w game as there are so many thing sold in the gemshop which makes game sort of easier. And if you don't have money to buy gems, you need to farm gold to turn gold into gems. And that will take that gold out of something else you would need to buy with that gold ingame. That being said none of the items in GW2 gemshop aren't giving competitive edge over other players. They are more like convenience items like unlimited gathering tools, bank tabs and so on. And for me I wouldn't say that it is p2w. But I have seen games where items sold straight gives you extra buff for your character and you cant acquire premium currency by playing the game and you can't get same buffs by playing the game. Game itself seemed enjoyable and seems that there will be lot to do after you get to level 50. Also I noticed from leveling log that there was actually entry for lvl 51 stating coming soon so maybe some teaser that there will be level cap increase in the future. I will be playing the game for sure as there will be also plenty of people from my gaming group. Oh and of course you can battlepass and leveling log pass with Lucent. They will give extra loot but so does battlepasses in many other games as well. And game is free to play so it is not like it will cost you anything to play the game. And after playing the full game, if it still feels like too much p2w, then move on to next game or stay with the old like Guild Wars 2 for me.
The tutorial had me bored out of my mind. too many abilities to start with. turning into a dog for no reason is dumb. the little pokemon following you everywhere for what reason? when is the seige pvp? game is dog shitand it will die here stateside withing a year
Rocko: "I will always support a good product" Also Rocko: "Unless the good product has monetization I don't like" 🤪 The era of quality MMO's for a box price, subscription and expansion costs has not been successful for a very long time unfortunately. These days to get even remotely good quality, the game needs to be spearheaded by a studio with existing funding from previous projects or a niche scenario like Amazon game studios trying to create a gaming division. Studios can't get investors to support their non-mobile, gaming ventures because they are too risky. So unfortunately pay2win will be the most effective avenue for most investors.. I think maybe we got 2 more chances of hope - the Riot MMO since they don't need the investor capital sales pitch and maybe the Amazon Game Studios, Lord of the Rings game - those games are basically fully funded which will feature new engine tech and full time developers on payroll not worried about their job security to create solid gameplay... I think AOC is gonna be a flop, the tech behind it is 10 years old, too many unknowns by the time it comes out there will be competing offerings.
Yeah... AoC has been something on my radar for a while now. I've seen good improvements every showcase but I have a feeling it's not going to make it. Riot are back to the drawing table.. Fantastic Pixel Castle (old blizz devs ++) are making something atm but no news yet.. This is the golden age of ARPG nowadays, maybe it'll be MMO in the future!
@@Barb4salehow is this any different then playing wow where people spend 100’s on Chinese bot farmers? I honestly don’t think it hurts the game that much.
@@SFRR22D It isn't any different and it affects the game the same. And if you wanna bring up WoW - the exception is that you can buy a lot more purple end game build items in the AH in TL and not in WoW. Most BIS items in wow are bound on pickup and in TnL are not.
I love the combat, feels like your character has some weight to it. I enjoy tab target so its even an easier win for me since they are trying to make it more action combat even though they are delusional for calling it that really :D
Don't worry, a new continent will be opening soon. This game allows you to experience something different from Final Fantasy/World of Warcraft. There is no pay-to-win, so you can do everything for free. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NwIzivCKorA.html
