This is what i love to do and want to share with all of you! So hope you enjoy the videos i make for you and hope i teach you a thing or two about cars and other things.
I looked for a quote to do these on my Honda, some guys were giving me prices for a new alternator, water pump etc 😂 like they had no clue the pullies come off 😅
I am literally speechless, I don't know what to comment first... So, you took out and destroyed a fully capable and functional 2-ohm woofers from the doors to replace them with 4-ohm coax-speakers (?!?!?!?!?!?). Then you took out fully capable and functional mids from the dashboard to replace them with 4-inch coax-speakers, probably reconnecting the factory tweeter (otherwise new speakers would not be working). So, what we have there is a treble overload from two different tweeters. Cherry on top, you went the full length to replaced the rear-panel factory mids, which were LITERALLY installed in the air (just hanging there without a cabin whatsoever) with some other 4-inch coax-speakers (?!?!?!?!?!) and zero contribution to the sound-system performance. So, you added treble literally EVERYWHERE (killing every last shred of stereo-imaging) and you are down in mid-bass and bass (since the woofer in the doors in 4-ohm, so it's weaker compared to the 2-ohm factory woofer you destroyed). Well done, gentlemen, I love vanity! ...in the meantime all this car needs is better amplification.
DUDE HOLY COW WHATS HAPPENING TO YOU IS WHATS HAPPENING TO ME. Thank you for saving me money because i was going to just redo the entire fuel system from fuel pump to injectors.
Some people mentioned that they connected their mirror to power and it didn't turn on. Try to find a 12v power supply to test before installing in the car. Mine also did not turn on but I was able to troubleshoot using the external power supply. In the end, removing the inline fuse (included inline with the mirror wire) and putting it back in solved my issue. I guess the connection just wasn't very good. A second bit of advice: check the fit of the mirror mount first thing. If the mirror mount does not fit the metal piece that is glued to your windshield, then don't even install the kit. Removing the metal piece that's glued to the windshield is too much trouble and too much risk.
Take some chemtool and wash your mouth out. No need for your limited vocab to fill the terms you don't know with F bombs. Let the mechanic do the talking. Sheesh!
Very informative videos in each part on how to structure a fiberglass sub box. I plan to use your tips to build one for a Toyota Sequoia that I want more bass than the factory sub.
*Alright well I changed all my interior speakers, did not touch the tweeter in the dash at all but I’m getting no sound out of my door speakers? Anyone else had this issue and how do did you fix it.. Thanks!*
so i guess they dont' make the accessory kit anymore for this car? Shame. I wasn't expecting like need for speed gains, just wanted it for the engine bay. Also, you guys are hilarious.
Robbie I would like to know how much material you used. You had a gallon of resin how much of that did you use? How many packages of chop fiberglass did you use and how much mat fiberglass did you use and last but not least what was the weight of the chop and Matt fiberglass. Thank you for letting us know. That way I can price this kind of thing and see if I can afford to do the same thing you just did but in a 21 Honda accord sport. Anyway, thank you very much for this three-part series. it's the best I've seen on RU-vid, Theodore
I am going to write the things I consider would be good to know that are not mentioned here or things I learned after doing this install the exact same way. First I would’ve gotten the 3.5” speakers. The windshield speakers simply don’t fit, you are left half inch of unscrewed portion and you have to do a bunch of fiddling around to get it to work, you can, but it’s just too much imo. Next, modifying the mount for the rear speaker was just crazy. If I was completely into this speakers, I would probably buy a mount which can probably fit, since there’s a lot of space and then just cut the round metal out with my hand and use the leftovers just to attach the mount to the holes instead of cutting the round piece, since that was a dangerous trick that can harm you, and this is stereo install not beam mounting for a building. Finally, getting a mount for the 6” instead of reusing the current ones and installing in “the lip”. Getting the mounts for the rear and 6” would drive up the cost at most $50, but will save you a couple of hours and will make this installation easier, and safer as doing the lip and the rear mount requieres skill and tools that can easily hurt you if you are not an avid tool user. It would have been cool seeing how they installed the windshield speakers. Other than that great seat of speakers and great video. Thanks!
@@benstan4978 i used a harbor freight orbital palm sander and always stuck around the 180-240 range, 220 for final grit and ive never had a problem as long as it comes out smooth and you clean your surfaces
idk if anyone is still watching this video but i have a 2010 ms3 i bought the car a few months ago and it has this catch can literally 10 minutes ago it just started leaking oil like crazy all over lost probably 4 or 5 quarts in about 5 mins um idk what to do i cant track it down cuz there's literally oil everywhere but the catch can keeps filling up. which i though was weird cuz i can just keep emptying it so idk if it just built pressure or something and blew a line bc its not coming from around the oil pan area but both the lines to the catch can are still on. and ofc the geniuses at Mazda don't have a oil pressure gauge on the car if anyone can help please let me know
