I always rather liked the man. We were married for awhile. Didn't work out, but I don't hold it against him. He was talented. I'll always admire that about him.
I love the work of Joe Vitale. My favorite song from But Seriously Folks is “Theme From Boat Weirdos”. I’m pretty sure Joe plays the flute on that tune. I think JAY Ferguson plays keyboards. Thank you for an awesome interview from one of Rock’s true unsung heroes.

I’m a drummer. Guys I watched. Chester Thompson Alan White Joe Vitali Nigel Olssen Niel Peart Niel and Alan have gone home ❤️ Retired Audio Engineer, nominations Awards. Phuket.
What a pity. This would have been a terrific interview but for the interviewer's ceaseless irritating interruptions, which added nothing to Vitale's flowing and fascinating narrative.
I can see why joe Walsh and he get along so well . They are both easy going , friendly and talented . I am surprised he worked the miss fits of the Eagles. Nice interview.
Thanks Nick... Just did another interview with Joe and his son Joe Jr a few weeks ago. We talked about Stephen Stills and the Bowie knife. It's a hoot.
I first found saw Joe Vitale with Barnstorm around 1973? I'd seen many shows by then and , he was the most impressive drummer I had ever seen! Since then, I have focused so much more on the 'magic' that drummers bring to the whole musical creations! He's still my most memorable drummer to date. 'Kudos' to his continued musical excellence over the DECADES!
Mr Mosey...it's been 8 years since i saw this exact video, where you inspired me to learn how to play piedmont blues, the first time i heard about sll those "dead blind guys"...thank you vety much sir
Steven stills and Graham Nash saying Harmony for David gilmour's on an Island Tour and album Scott on percussion Graco I think is his last name,,? He deserves some Kudos it's my point don't you think
For the first time! Once I started pinching the melody with the base, I got my right thumb to move back and forth properly. Long journey begins with a single step! Thank you.
Honestly guys, I know that you have to protect your gig for one super important reason? Once you have been a rock and roll musician you are not good for anything else 🙂
Vitale is a true legendary drummer in the rock world.. his journey through the golden era of rock has always captivated me. Check out his epic live work when he’s at his best.. late 70’s into the 80’s, CSNY, Eagles, and Walsh.
I just saw another video interview with Joe V. yesterday from 2016 with ????? It's great history too! You'll have to look for it. Yeah, love his ' story ' of his climb to the top!
Wow. What a great interview. My first real concert was seeing CS&N with my mom & stepdad in 1989. I suspect it was Joe who was blowing my mind on the drums that night.
