@insecticidal151
@insecticidal151 9 дней назад
They’re actually fairly easy to grow if you follow the proper care instructions. They need full outdoor sun. Preferably for at least 6 hours per day. Most of mine get over 10 some as much as 12. They need low mineral water. Something with less than 50 ppm when measured with a TDS meter. And they like tall pots filled with organic peat moss. You can use perlite and or sand for aeration.

Great video. It can't be underestimated how the music adds to the experience. The traps on the Venus Fly Traps are huge. Whatever you're doing is making those things show out. The Flava Supermax is so tall. The Leuco Hurricane Creek is delightful as health white pitchers tend to be. Given that it's August, I think it's safe to say this year has been a big success! I would love it if you post a prepare bog for winter video in late fall or whenever you do it. That would be very helpful to newer bog owners.
@insecticidal151
@insecticidal151 9 дней назад
Thank you for the idea. My experience is a tad bit unfair since my winters aren’t much different than what they experience in the wild so I don’t have much prep work for dormancy. I’m sure I can come up with something informative though!!

This my first season with Sarracenias. Is right now mid August the time when the fall pitchers are fully out and the best Leuco's and stuff will be? Or Fall Pitchers literally out in the fall like in October and right now they're just small nubs starting to grow out of the growth point.
@insecticidal151
@insecticidal151 10 дней назад
My leucos seem to just now be getting started. they're all putting out slightly bigger traps then their spring and summer stuff. I think they will continue to put up their good growth through September/oct. This is actually my first season with pure leucos as well. All of the pure white leucos in the video put those traps up over the last 2 weeks or so

If I'm being honest, I have no clue lol. It's a fairly young plant. It was in a small 3" pot and was becoming root bound when I got it a few months ago. I slipped it into this bigger pot and it started taking off like a rocket. I guess only time will tell. I'm contemplating making A specimen bog for it and just leaving it alone without dividing it for a few years
