Great bro. I've had all the others and the Pan Am is a real world capable bike, the others are just modern versions of 50s bikes that are I'll handling, slow and to heavy ❤ I have the Pan Am and a Kawi H2 now....those macho men village people boys can't keep up lol! ❤
Thanks, man!! Glad you found me lol I really appreciate the feedback! Just when I was getting in a groove, bam, nope! God willing I’ll be on the bike in the near future!
My odyssey is trying to find myself after my sons both left to the military. Just me and the Mrs. Sold my ‘21 LRS last year and waiting for to buy my ‘25 Dirt Glide…if you’re kids are still home, cherish them. Gone before you know it.
I totally understand how tough it is to let the kids go. Military can tough, but at least it instills values and principles! Congrats to them, there’s a reward in it lol when you get your dirt glide, it’ll be worth the wait! Trust! Thanks for the feedback!
@@Louie_Ponce_Motography so proud of them both…they are doing great. For now, I’ll enjoy and learn from your adventures on the pas and have mine soon enough..👊🏽
I like your videos, not doing silly things for the camera. I like see the different areas in bike videos. I'm in Australia, we have some fantastic areas to explore and very mild weather for most of the year. I ride practically every day. I started watching your videos because I have 2022 Pan Am Special, the army green version. I love it. I've modifies a few small things, like adding a USB port to charge up front (because HD disabled the USB C charging. I fitted a V&H's muffler, that has been the best addition, improves power significantly between 2000 to 4000 RPM, and also above 5000 RPM. It's not too loud and sounds so much deeper. I also replaced the rubbish battery that came with the bike, mine sat too long at the dealership, and they didn't keep it charged, so it would fail to start the bike after sitting for a day. I just got another sealed lead acid battery and I've had no problems. Less error codes too. I do think telling your partner when or where you are going, is better than asking for forgiveness because you didn't say anything. I also believe in keeping a bike for a long time, not changing them every few years. I think there is too much pressure to upgrade or get the next new best bike.
That means a lot me, man. I’m glad you like the videos. I like to stick to reality when doing these. Sometimes I go off on a rant but it’s who I am I guess lol I recently got injured at work hence the slow down in my production. The PA is a fantastic bike and cannot wait to get back on. Go for a long ass ride and talk to myself. People dont understand how important some alone time and a good hobby can do. It’s medicinal. Stick around, bro, I love having honest people here.
Great video, bro!! It makes me want to get back to the outdoors and take in the beauty God created. Maybe a sunrise by the bay or sunset in the country.. either way.. I'll be making more time to do those things thanks to your videos. Thanks, bro!!
Thanks, brother. The promise that the sunlight brings every morning is immeasurable. Remember those days when we get out on the water and the sun rises, fish just flow into the boat and make grown men happy. Nothing else existed when we were out there. Go get some more!
You cuttin onions while watching? Lol thanks for always having kind and constructive feedback! I’ve been meaning to finish this for a little while. Sooo glad someone appreciates it! 🤘
Haha! I’ve thought of that, but I really enjoy the 150 tbh. I like the slim look of it and it’s always ridden great, so I won’t be fixing what’s not broken 😂
Great video ,I have a 22 with over 20,000 miles on it. It’s a love, hate relationship! It is one of my favorite motorcycle that I’ve ever owned. The main issue I’m having is the fuel pump screeching and making a grinding noise! I’ve had 4 fuel pump replaced under warranty in the first year,it’s now on the 5th time. It’s also a know issue and I wish Harley Davidson would recall the fuel pump. Still one of my favorites though…
Whoa, man! I hope mine stays strong lol I have a love hate relationship with it for other reasons like being extremely heavy (while in off road conditions). But it’s totally my fault for learning how to ride a dirt bike on a 1250cc… Harley needs to get right with it’s customers and fix these issues permanently with new pumps that won’t take a shit every so often. Warranties are cool and all but so inconvenient when it’s riding season. Thanks for the feedback and best of luck!!
Thanks, dude! So strange thing… larosadesign.us is the brand but they don’t seem to be making them or they sell out immediately lol either way, I think I get more questions about my seat than anything else on my channel 😂 . Here’s a link to an eBay listing that is similar to mine. Sorry I can’t provide a link to the one I have! It’s out there somewhere though!! www.ebay.com/itm/355352580073?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1EiPCxqFbQjSvLmROvS9jAg4&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=355352580073&targetid=1644837436443&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9011162&poi&campaignid=20125739985&mkgroupid=149128855676&rlsatarget=pla-1644837436443&abcId=9312975&merchantid=6296724&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh-t3EcsSptyqKFcc_KUwkoZL&gclid=CjwKCAjwuJ2xBhA3EiwAMVjkVFk22R6dN0Hj1PAa1yy8PxjbyOqCbrE8j3Y2SFnOnx_WuERGQyhn_xoCq6wQAvD_BwE
It’s a LaRosa Design seat from larosadesign.us but a lot of those seats are no longer being made by them for some reason. They’re all out of stock. But eBay has some. Here’s a url with something similar: www.ebay.com/itm/355352580073?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1EiPCxqFbQjSvLmROvS9jAg4&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=355352580073&targetid=1644837436443&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9011162&poi&campaignid=20125739985&mkgroupid=149128855676&rlsatarget=pla-1644837436443&abcId=9312975&merchantid=6296724&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh-t3EcsSptyqKFcc_KUwkoZL&gclid=CjwKCAjwuJ2xBhA3EiwAMVjkVFk22R6dN0Hj1PAa1yy8PxjbyOqCbrE8j3Y2SFnOnx_WuERGQyhn_xoCq6wQAvD_BwE
Just started watching your vids and I love them. I have a 22 Pan Am, I’ve dropped it more times than I like to admit, I’m only 5’7. Most of the issues have been because of me 😂
Fellow PanAm Rider - Used to live near Clarks Hill, now up in North GA Mountains. As to videos and posting and all that - when it stops being fun, it's time to stop. At least that's how I look at things... If you get up this way there are tons of FSR's that run though the Chattahoochie.
You’re 100 percent right, man. I’m taking my time and trying to get my thoughts out to the world hoping that I’m not the only one. Much appreciated and maybe we’ll cross paths someday. Ride safe 👊
2nd video of yours I’ve watched…love the dirt glide, dig your content and if for nothing else, I’ll sub because we share a last name..keep em coming and ride safe Ponce..🤙🏽
Riding off road is a whole another animal. Got kind of good with it on my KLR but I’m not going to take my Pan American off road for quite a while. I’m just using it as a sport tourer.
I’ll definitely favor the tarmac over dirt lol but going off road is a thrill every single time. It’s a new experience and I’m all in with getting better! Having a blast so far and don’t intend on stopping. Ride safe!
Love the bike, where di you get the seat. I just purchased a Sportster 1997 and did some changes but I like your seat. I have a Biltwell Banana seat but I like the look of that one. Glad you are doing well.
Thanks, man! It’s a La Rosa Design seat. Not sure if they even make them anymore! If you visit Larosadesign.us a lot of items are no longer available. Super weird. I did look on eBay for ya, just gotta make sure it fits your bike. www.ebay.com/itm/355352580073?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1EiPCxqFbQjSvLmROvS9jAg4&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=355352580073&targetid=1644837436443&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9011162&poi=&campaignid=20125739985&mkgroupid=149128855676&rlsatarget=pla-1644837436443&abcId=9312975&merchantid=6296724&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh-t3EcsSptyqKFcc_KUwkoZL&gclid=CjwKCAjwuJ2xBhA3EiwAMVjkVFk22R6dN0Hj1PAa1yy8PxjbyOqCbrE8j3Y2SFnOnx_WuERGQyhn_xoCq6wQAvD_BwE
Thanks, brother. I had a feeling you would like that! Social media is a distraction to what’s really important. It’s tough to get away from since we’re so tied to our phones. It’s convenient to open apps and get lost for hours on end, but the reality is that they deter us from truth. I’m seeking God and without so much human involvement and interaction, that’s becoming more achievable. God bless and stay tuned! 🙏
Thanks, brother! Really appreciate the feedback. The Pan America has been freakin awesome to me, man. It’s what I’ve been needing for a long time now. Like you said, there’s something special about dirt/gravel that awakens the soul!
Hell yeah man. I’m thinking it’s turning out to be my favorite bike too. It’s agile, adaptive, and super capable. What’s helping me love it more is the fact that I’m not comparing it to anything else. It’s what I own and I’m making the best of it and it’s been beyond awesome! Ride safe and thanks for being here!
@@BigBlack_PanAm I agree to a certain extent. I was literally on the same that scared the shit out of me when I first started and now it’s easy and I haven’t upgraded the tires. Taking my time and learning basics. Once I’m ready for that long trip through craziness, then I should be ready to swap tires anyway.
U may wanna get a cheap-o 2 stroke dirt bike and go nuts on it for practice. Worked for me. Enjoyed the voice over more than I thought I would. Good background music and level as well. And if bikes fly off screen, it's not necessarily a bad thing. It shows off the motion and makes it look more like action. You inspired me some. I went an got myself a Buell so I can stand up now ;)
Thanks for the feedback, brother! Idk about the small dirt bike, kinda tapped out with bikes lol I’m glad someone appreciates the little things in videography. A little validation for the “work” I did to put this together. The voiceover was super from the hip but I had a blast and wanted to share regardless of the different quality. I’m hoping to do one video per week. Thanks for always having constructive input! Ride safe!
Your first off, don’t let it dampen your enthusiasm. There are 1000,s of bikes in sheds raped in cotton wool cause their owners don’t want to go out and take a risk. Keep going and enjoy it…
Bro, this video is 2 years old lol. Search for a similar part? I really don’t know what to say about the link besides I need to remove it… sorry and hope you can find something else and just as cheap!
Sounds like ya have to use the center stand on that thing. How ya liking it? How's the power? The whole adventure bike thing took off with the Honda Africa Twin way back. In fact, the breed gets it's name from the time Honda started to put 'Adventure' badging on the twins. I started out on a 1979 YZ125 back in the day. Learned a lot on that bike. I woulda tried to go off road and turn around that way on that Panny. As for 'real' Harleys. I kinda feel like the Sportster was the last real Harley. Last Evo bike. And even then, I sort of lean towards the carbed versions due to the sound and feel. EFI and M8's brought Harley into modern times, but a lot of that visceral Harley nature has been lost. Problem for me is modernity is not the reason I bought a Harley... :( Thanks for this. Don't be afraid to ramble on and stretch out the vids. Part of why people watch is they can't be out there with you otherwise. Keep riding and putting out content. Join a riding group if you can. Enjoy yourself. Be safe!
Wow thanks for that knowledge, man. I had no idea about the AT adventure badging revolution lol but that’s such a Honda thing to do. I really love my 2016 Sportster. Still sounds great and has a classic look. I’ll always keep that thing in the garage even if I just look at it lol. Thank you for watching and the wisdom. Ride safe brother 🤘🇺🇸
Loving your videos. I picked up a ‘23 Pan Am Special. I LOVE it. I ride a lot of gravel and the bike is so well planted and so much fun to ride. Side note: I put on the larger Jiffy stand from HD. it’s much better than stock. Doesn’t sink down into wet, soft ground. It’s a cheap accessory as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Oh dude! Thank you and I’ll definitely check that out. It takes the focus out of my riding sometimes when I’m fixated on where TF to turn around lol much appreciated and ride safe!
Hey man, here ya go! a.co/d/dmW0xgp www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/front-turn-signal-relocation-kit/p/67800452?source_cd=SEM_Shop_PLA_GOOGLE%7CPLA_Standard_Shopping_All_Products%7CShopping_All_Products%7C67800452&_cr=pla%7CGOOGLE%7CPLA_Standard_Shopping_All_Products%7CShopping_All_Products%7C67800452&s_kwcid=AL!15884!3!676285511967!!!g!297767877055!67800452&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwq86wBhDiARIsAJhuphlAN34b3i9opPgfEwVBqveeCvoAyZV2COPBnR_73vY0Az1cE2tsQeEaAltkEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
I just got a 1988 883 w/1200 conversion...looks a lot like yours....it's a semi-bobber, very similar....sorry bout your run-in but glad you and bike are better....sweet bike yo !
Military mom and military spouse here. Thank you for your service. I have 21 RGS with full bags, full under glows, a 23 Honda NC750 for adventure shit and I'm picking up a 48 next Monday 4/1. Where did you get the white walls? I'm not a service member, I work out of Atlanta, and I live in Arkansas. My son is in Pensacola and my daughters are in Virginia. I bought them motorcycles, girls have Kawi's and my son has a Ducati Monster.
