For me, it was surprisingly easy. Maybe because i weight about under 40kg 13 and flexible. I was able to do the lever (calisthenics) perfectly for the first time can someone tell me if this us a sign
Keep going bro!! young generation needs people like you!! Your advice is very accurate and you do like what you do!Not everybody is able to transmit like you do!!l💯🔥
The form is better in this video but you're still doing one error. Not swinging your legs low enough and keeping them close to your chest by being bend in your hips. I was having the same problem when i started doing my airflares about 20 years ago
Well actually it's the leg that is not swooping that shoots to the back that is the main issue, I have been doing that for years so it's hard to keep the non swing leg where it suposed to be hecause muscle memory . but I agree a lot can improve about it. As is always the case
@@breakdancelessonsamsterdam9367 you know what really helped me back in the days when i was learning my airflares. As soon as i landed on my left hand after the first round (i'm doing my airflares clockwise the same as you) i started pushing my left leg up from my left hand while keeping it close to my chest at the same time. This way the transition of my weight from my left hand to my right hand go automatically.
dude sorry but your airflares suck. You must really improve them. One of the problem in your airflares is that you are looking on the ground all the time. Don't do it, believe me i have been there before. Try to turn your head to the side not to the back. And swing your legs as low to the ground as possible.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iNYAPKTUW8U.html there you go I don"t dissagree with you on the form of that airflare, that's why I talk about form in the video too, it (was 2012 footage btw) but all tips stil work, for both low and high airflare
Can you make a video on tips to get a bigger push for airflare? (Even for High Airflare). This seems to be a coordination issue and I'm only able to get a good jump when my timing is correct and when I'm not tired
Yes actually in the video airflare for beginners I talk about feeling the weight on your hand, at that point you hop hard and THROW your arm over, right now you are more switching the hands, so the hop is not really there,
Side qs bro friend asked me, in your opinion what is the golden age range to push hard in breaking? (When you are physically your strongest, can recover fast, less prone to injury, need very little rest days etc)
Lee was litterally a baby crawling through the practice room haha. The best age to start is probably around 6 years old, if you are actually training and not just playing the process will be amazingly fast
@@_sacapuntas_8612 yet again the earlyer the better, I myself started at the age of 20, as a male you have your peak strenght around the age of 25 till 32 but flexibility recovery etc all go better if you are younger then 25
Breaking has been inspired by many sources, you can see it in one of my videos here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LXm4ZBPhdaE.html. Now on the other hand they did see capoeira and you can see Ken swift talking about it here : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ej6afLyOVd4.html (this is not my video) This authority claim also goes for the first bboys cause they are humans and if they want (not saying they did) they could fabricate anything I wasn't there of course so I don't know but with my research I don't know who to believe and who not to and it only shows that there is no answer to this conversation cause we can't be 100% sure if they are telling the truth or not. Interesting conversation yes but it's an endless rabbit hole
@@breakdancelessonsamsterdam9367agreed on ken swift 100% he is not first gen Just someones word is not evidence, am not disagreeing with you or say that capoeira influenced breaking to be created in it's early years just saying there's multiple sources that influenced it .
People who do Capoeira can't do more than 2 spins on the 90's. lmfao. They are famous for sucking at doing 1990's. In LA in 1993 I knew 1 or 2 moves from Capoeira. But very few of the breakers I knew back then knew Capoeira. At best they saw the movie " Only the strong" and tried to do a nike kick. But it wasn't mainstream, it was all about powermoves back in the 90's in LA.
you're welcome bro, a tip I forgot to say is that if you get stuck at around 6 or 7 airflares it's because you must find a breathing patern, don't forget that tip when you get there ;)
Nice sharing of knowledge bro Next video, how long did it take you to learn each individual power move that you can do :D and generally for the average bboy (yes I know it depends on the individual so just in general will do)
handstand is so much harder for me to balalnce these days.. i use to have that shit on lock holding it for ages. now beacuse of this fuckin life long inury that prevents me from straighting my left arm. it makes it like 10 times harder to balance for a long time beacuse there is constant presure on my joint i cant releax in it like i used to beacuse i cant lock out my elbow :( it sucks.
Video request talking about how many days should you train and how many days should you rest ideally for younger bboys vs older bboys! Factoring in recovery time and how much physical stress the body can handle at different ages
1)Flips 2)Headspin 3)Hand Hop 4)Windmill/Babymill 5)Difficult Power Freezes (Flares and Airflares as well but not to the extent of the moves above) Got it,👍🏻 thank you Bas👏🏻. I can also see float moves(Turtles and UFOs) not impressing people as much as the moves above but how about Jackhammers? Also I guess 1990, 2000 and Halo (unless done fast) don't impress non bboys as much too😂
@@breakdancelessonsamsterdam9367 Thanks bro! Maybe some of the criteria of these moves can include whether it's a good crowd pleaser(especially so when non-breakers see it), ease of doing the move even when you are tired(when the showcase is longer) and also how much the move gets affected by the stage flooring etc
By any chance to any of the beginners watching this video, please listen to what he says and master all of these basic freezes that he has mentioned as without good control over these freezes, learning power move is hell. These freezes will help these power moves in general From lowest level to the highest level Shoulder Freeze: Windmill, Shoulder Spin Turtle Freeze: Cricket, Jackhammer, Windmill Side Freeze: Windmill, Halo Headstand: Windmill, Headspin, Halo Elbow Freeze: Elbow Airflare Handstand: 1990, 2000, Sixteen, Flare, Hand Hop, Airflare Air freeze: Hand Hop, Airflare Learning all the freezes on both sides and freeze stacking afterwards is highly recommended after getting a good grasp of all the basic freezes👍🏻 Frog freeze, Chair Freeze and Bridge is good for strength and flexibility and will be essential to learning more difficult freezes
that's a tricky one tbh because the airflare has so many different shapes and different ways people do them, a lot of people mastered it but unlike the flare there is a lot more personal taste from what someone concider the best (low or high piked or out stretched handstand or more like planche fast or slow etc), personally I love the classical style of the korean bboys like blonde, the end etc,
that would be a totally subjective list though, also really depends how the move is performed, me personally love multiple one hand combos and different variations, I'm not impressed by moves like turtle tapmill or swipe, but for someone else that might be different
@@breakdancelessonsamsterdam9367 Hahah yep it will be subjective but just want to hear your list! Yea, ofc there are some that look lame aesthetically like swipe, turtle, tapmill, buddha spin etc
Thanks for the tutorial! Turtle freeze->Handstand and Side freeze-> Handstand (Even Hong10 freeze-> Handstand) are still very doable, but shoulder freeze up just seems so hard. Never thought about the hand placement trick though but definitely will try tmr!👍🏻
Thank you for the tutorial👍🏻, hope you can also make one about multiple airflare (high airflare) eventually just like how you have a tutorial on multiple elbow airflare 👍🏻
