Milestones sounds like a song that some Japanese, English, Russian, Argentine, Chilean, Mexican etc rockabilly/rock/psychobilly/gothabilly band would play smh
My brother had a Gravis UltraSound Classic back in the day, while it was cool for MIDI and a handful of demos with native GUS support (2nd Reality and Hocus Pocus!), it was such a kludge of a card to getting working for literally anything. SBOS was laughable compared to a real OPL3, it was more like a total reinterpretation of the in-game music than an actual FM synth emulator. Really felt like an unstable prototype sound card than something ready for the market. When I got my own 486 in the late 90's, I acquired his GUS but almost immediately replaced it with a Pro Audio Spectrum 16 + Roland SCC-1 and never looked back. I do still have that GUS card today! On an interesting note, the GF1 sound chip is based on the Ensoniq 5506, which itself is based on the earlier Ensoniq 5503 that was built-in every Apple IIGS computer, all the way back in 1986! Sure the 5503 was 8-bit resolution and only came with 64K of sound RAM, but it gave a taste of wavetable synthesis back in the 80's. Just like the GUS, it had 32 voices too, pretty cool back then!
You know, I was trying to find a video of what adlib/sound blaster music sounded like on the GUS (edit: like a while ago, I concur with the video description), and there was almost nothing about it on youtube, and now here it appears in my recommended! Much kudos
And it doesn't work with protected mode games (anything using dos4gw for example), so it's of somewhat limited usefulness. It's "better than nothing", and for somebody who only had a GUS back in the day, it would definitely be a workaround to get sound in some games that doesn't have native support. Some games could be patched to add support as well. But today, a much better solution is to simply run a GUS side-by-side with an SB Pro or SB 16 or something similar. That's what I do in my 486.
Rippin Riders/Snow Surfers/Coolboarders Burn (different names for the same game) on Dreamcast also has a similar mode to this. Its also made by the same company as Coolboarders 2 - Uep Systems.
a lot of gameplay videos on youtube for this game haven't been doing it justice, i couldn't figure out if this series of games even had good tricks, thanks for showing that it does.
Me! (Aka Brandon Enterprises). I recovered some other stuff as well and wrote an email to you a few months ago but maybe it didn't go through. Here's a draft page for this on the GM Archive www.aderack.com/game-maker/index.php?title=Commander_Bean See also this if you haven't seen it yet :) www.aderack.com/game-maker/index.php?title=Skyroads
COOLBOARDERS Series by 989 Freaking Rocks STILL in 2024 👊🏼🏂🏻,, I'm pushing 50 & still playing it disabled trapped in a recliner with illness.. 90's gaming Love is priceless 🎮🔥🎮
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon remembers playing this Classic game back in the 90's and early 2,000's!!!! The 1st time he played it was when he went to Chuck E Cheese's in 1997, then the 2nd time was in Macon, Georgia at 13 years old. Now that he's 31 years old, he can proudly say that he has NO REGRETS playing this Classic game!!!!!👒🗡️🐉🎮🥰👍
Thanks, you might want to check this video of mine out too then. Didn't even know this was possible until after 20 years of playing the game. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yOTKjWRYW_Q.html
Family Apology LP ( 1970) is Baroque-psych enigmatic masterpiece, which didn't yet earned the artistic recognition like it ought to have. maybe Mr. Billmuss himself will one day step out of obscurity with some other unrevealed pieces of music like this one.
Mr. Billmuss has put this era of his life behind him, which is a shame, because his music had considerable merit and creativity. In addition to this song, there is the flip side to it, The Great Rebellion Came, there is also the non-album Charisma single English Pastures, and I think there might be another private recording out there from later in the 70s. Some have tried to research him, but the fact of the matter is that Billmuss was not his true name, so it takes a bit of guesswork if someone is hoping to find out more about him after his time with Charisma.
Just picked up a copy after how many years and I became frustrated tryna do some moves, I remember murdering the tricks as a kid, maybe I need some practice
Meh. I think you should activate the dipswitch that allows for "longplay" (meaning all the Bad Fortune routes are active) and see what the time is. Your Bad Fortune will be randomized with each run, so you will get unreliable times.
Could someone please put all the music and songs on utube soon from the Zachariah, soundtrack.?I love the beautiful music 🎶 to the lonely ride 🎶 thank you so very much ❤♥.
I've played a bit on a cabinet of this game in 2018-2020 and the scoring system confused me. Had a few runs I thought were near flawless but could only get 350,000 up to 375,000 odd points, and a sloppy run that ended up being my PB of 398k. I assume the scoring has a lot to do with carrying speed into each jump and trying to start a trick off ramps as late as possible?
Looks like they're emulating it. Maybe with Duckstation which allows you to correct the distorted and jittering textures, which this game was especially bad for.
It is the US NTSC version, but it is emulated on a pc with a higher resolution than the PS1 could pump out. Might have some other graphics settings tweaked as well, I forget.
xbox 360 controller. The game has analogue control for turning the board left and right and also separate analogue control for the angle the edge of the board is at compared to being flat. I think I've mapped turning the board left and right to the left thumbstick and I ignore the analogue functionality for putting the board on edge as it makes you turn way sharper than you really need to in the game.
My Fuckin GUY. I have on and off looked for this song for over a decade and I was in a dipset lox hole since the Versuz and I was like where the fuck is that Juelz Bezel Unkasa track. I must’ve heard this song over a hundred times back in the day. Long live the Dipset era Thanks for uploading this. Very underrated and rare Dipset track
Agreed, was looking for it for like 12 years before I found it again and put it up, its like the great lost Dipset track... This is the most improbable sample flip I've ever heard.
Once you've got the inputs for each trick and the right timing for flips & misties, it can go on forever. If there's more than 999 seconds in the timer it "freezes", not being able to display 1000 and above :P
Yes, that's my impression after playing it for an hour and doing 350 tricks. That's way way more than enough to get the highest rankings in the high scores and unlock the alien from doing trick master mode.
@@newenglishsound I did not know that was infinite mode! I remember I made like 171 max. You could continue video 3-4 and so on. Tk mate I'm your best friend now
