Have pulled out 3 cars and moved one tree. Never needed it for a self recovery yet. Extremely happy with it. However, I do think the harbor winch freight would have been fine. Bumper was completely worth it. Still holding up well.
Something is not right with your setup. A couple things I can see from your video. 1. Your torch angle needs to be more vertical. About 15 back lean is what you want. 2. Looks like waaay too much stick out for a #7 standard cup. If you want to run longer stick out I’d run a gas lense setup. 3. You shouldn’t be throwing sparks all over the place like a MIG when TIG welding. I think is caused by a lack of gas coverage and also kind of dirty metal. 4. Try the pulser out for thin metals.
You definitely dont want to grind on contaminated tungsten on your diamond wheels because it will ruin them. You need to cut the contaminated part off first.
The brand labels mean almost nothing all made in china with different varieties of qc, the USA made winches are 1000 plus 😅, basically you got 3 tiers 1 old style round housings 2 apex hf winch style housings 3 warn evo style housings same as the xbull xrs series 😅
That should let you wiggle them in. You can’t have the exhaust studs already in though for that to work. Alternatively, Disconnecting the steering shaft is just two bolts. Tie the wheel in place and mark everything though if you go that route.
Taco analogy is great! 😂 grew up in NM, now I’m in Idaho and miss the tacos and burritos. Picked a primeweld tig after your review! Now I need a better mig 😂
i know this video is a few years old,i'm going through this tig welder agony now but the Primeweld 225 Tig has been on the top of my list although i wobble and go look at others.i wonder what you think of it now after hopefully using it now for a while?thanks.
Thanks for watching! I still really like my PrimeWeld. Still running great. I think whatever you choose will be fine, but I don’t think you’ll be upset with the primeweld
Good video review. This would be a great tripod for hunting, glassing, photography/video near your vehicle. But not for hiking 2-5 miles in the western backcountry, too heavy!
also forgot to ask how did you know you had a leak ? Shop is telling me I dont but the muffler place said i did( they dont do these repairs so not sure why they would lie)?
do they pipes that stick out toward some of the rubber hoses came a problem with the excess heat created by headers ? Trying to decide whether to do OEM VS thorley 2005 with 300,000, great video
Good morning SNAPHU ! Great video ! I am with you brother about Dickies coveralls. I recently ordered a pair like the ones you show here and a few years ago I bought their insulated duck coveralls. Very well made and feel great. For me they are the best out there. Take care and keep the videos coming my friend.
Would have been tempted :) That sticker makes me happy. Grew up reading Petersons off road magazines and always wanted a Warn when I was a poor teenager! Pretty happy I can finally afford one. Used it a few times and it’s been everything I hoped it would be!
I had a Hobart ac/dc machine for years and purchased the Primeweld ac/dc and I couldn't be happier' The welder runs really smooth. It also has a torch switch for the times you cannot use the foot pedal.
The funny thing is yesterday I just picked up a 2 drawer filing cabinet from the side of the road that someone left out free for the taking, just like the one you got for the 'fortress'. And I have a 90A Chicago Elect. welder like your's that I have been using for a few years, that I like a lot. I'm thinking about getting the TIG welder just like the one you have it will run me around 819 + tax. How has it been for you over these 4 years. I know they have a newer one out that is 325A & that looks very nice bout it will run me around 1450 + tax, it has some upgrades that I think would be nice like. Here is a nice video about it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IJu_evroudw.html I've been wrestling between just getting a nicer MIG or should I get a TIG, I what to be able to do aluminum & more. I think a person doesn't have to be so careful with preparation with MIG, but TIG would look nicer & only use one type of gas. My arc welder used to be my batters that were in my golf cart, but I sold it a while back, that was kind of neat I'd just drive it to where I wanted to weld & go for it. Well thanks for the video.
Watching your girl make me miss my little girl, she is to old (at least for now) to hang out with her dear old dad. She is at the university in Nevada Missouri & I'm in Rockport TX, that is to far for me. Enjoy your life time flies fast.
MiG is for mouthbreathers who should probably work at Hog Dog on a Stick since MiG is about as easy as dunking a ball park frank in some batter and wearing a paper hat.
Got couple of PrimeWeld's machines all have been great. My tig225 has be beaten and had the absolute shit used out of it never missed a beat. Got one of there new Tig325x's aswell see if it holds up to the same.
