I suggest that you load your bike up like you were gonna go camping and practice riding it like that. Esthetics aside the Sissy bar with a proper bag, filled properly makes an awesome backrest too. Anyways, be safe. I hope your camping trip is good and fun. I am sure it will be.
Are you in Washington state? I live in the Columbia Gorge on the Oregon side but I ride in Washington a lot. It’s right across the river. I ride the 1100 and my wife rides the 500. My first bike was a 454 back in 1986, and even though I ride a larger bike now, I still pine for my first bike. Great videos!
looking to moto vlog my own journey... what software you using? ive just started down that rabbit hole, im excited myself ...enjoy your vids !! Life of burch was the 1st moto vlog i watched and he is one of the reasons i got my endorsement ..lol
Hi, i bought a Honda Rebel 500 2023 last October and love it , but not sure which handlebar riser to buy if you could recommend, im clueless and as im shorter i would love to have the handlebars slightly closer.
Link for mini air pump? BTW Earpeace has a 27 dcb ear plug in a mini keychain capsul w a spare earplug. Violinist here and other than having them made this is the most protective I have found. Using them for over 20 years also 20$
4500 to 5000 is what these sell for used private party. Along with the fact you can also get a vulcan s for 4k used is why you got offered 3500. 4500 was only offered to you because the dealer was making it up on the price of the 1100
Simply put Honda could sell your Rebel directly through their network close to it's retail value and can sit on it as stock. They are investing in it. Indian would be selling your bike on to a dealer at trade price. Cheap and fast to recover the capital.
Bought my SCL 500 Honda also because of their stock exhaust.. i know some aftermarket sound better, but nothing can beat its design and look! Plus I live in California, and anything else could easily cause me trouble with noise regulations..
I have a 2007 Honda Shadow and a 1999 Honda Goldwing. Just bought my wife a Can Am Ryker 900 Rally. Consider keeping your Rebel 500 and pairing it with something larger to accommodate different rides. I have a Quadlock with vibration dampener on my Shadow connected to a 12 vdc to USB power supply wired direct to the battery with an on/off switch. The power supply constantly displays voltage from the stator. Very happy with the setup.
I went to a Harley dealership and they offered $4000 for my 2020 Rebel 500 ABS. Another time a very aggressive salesman at Indian found a buyer for my Rebel…which would have been much higher than a trade in, but I still love my Rebel.
The stealerships make the money on the stealer fees, not on the "margin" on the used bike. They buy the bike for 3500, sell it for $6k, then charge $2k on dealer fees. Don't feel bad for the dealerships.
Another great vid! I feel that the Honda dealership was being more fair than the Indian dealership. I agree that they need to make a profit to stay in business but for a repeat customer at the Honda shop, they could have sweetened the deal a little more for you....
I love watching your vids because you're local to me, and I always recognize where you're at. One of these days, we'll probably pass one another on our Rebels! LOL
I haven't found any aftermarket exhaust that I like for my 24 Rebel 500. Still have the stock one. I also keep all OEM parts when removed from vehicles...so if I do trade it in or sell it, it will come with all the OEM parts if they want to put it back to stock. However, I have no interest in selling it - I love it. No interest in upgrading.
the quad lock mount is great. But the charging unit will drain your battery in a heartbeat if you hook it directly to your battery. dude, that is a great deal, you should bump up to an 1100 asap! :)
@@Briansgate yeah, I am worried about that…. I bought a connector that allows me to manually turn the power on and off, so I was going to see how that does. Haha, tempting for sure!!
First bike was a dual sport 250. Sold it because it wasn't used a lot after a couple of years. Many years later I got a 500 cc cruiser. It was fun. I bought a spare motorcycle for when the 500 was in the shop. It was a 49 cc scooter. It was so much fun I quit riding the 500. So far that scooter is my favorite motorcycle. It was sold and the 500 was sold to get a 250 cc scooter. It was kept four years until I moved to snow country. It was sold. The next motorcycle was bought ten years later. It was a 125 cc mini-moto. It was traded for a 125 cc scooter and that is what I have today. Bigger isn't better. SMALLER is better for riding around town. I'd rather take a car or airplane for longer trips. I don't own a car now that I live in the south again.
Started on a Suzuki 40 Boulevard 500cc and within a year moved on to a Triumph Thunderbird 900. Both used and got great deals on both. Not sure if I'll get another bike in addition to the Truimph? It's a 1996 so somewhat old school and vintage. Good channel, glad I found you.
Not only what you said but also, because its a learner bike, I cant really upgrade it because I know I'm only going to sell it so after we actually learn to ride and are comfortable with riding on the streets, we want to get rid of it so we can hurry up and get what we actually want long term then we can also start upgrading it and make it our own.
