Hi, you can scale up or down blueprint with cloth in Style3D Volume Axis Field, but not in Style3D Component. We currently don't have video for this, but feel free to reach out if you have problems.
In using this plug-in, do I necessarily need to use Style3D Atelier if I already have the skills to make clothes with other software? Would you still recommend using Style3D Atelier?
Hi does this works for metahuman only? What about daz characters that are brought in using daztounreal plugin? Can we use style3d atelier to simulate cloth for it?
If you already master Marvelous Designer, then it won't be difficult for you to learn Atelier, there is almost no learning curve. Atelier differs from the competition is its Fast GPU based simulation & auto features like Auto Rig and Auto Quad Remesh retopology. As for the cloth simulation, it can run smooth with 5mm particle distance when making general garments.
OK! How do we make the same Rigid-Cloth Interacting simulation in UE? We do make bone for each RigidBody in DCC then export the whole Bone Hierarchy unified, Instead of that in UE Simulations doesn't work correct, If this is just added part into Capsule of Character as Skeletal/Static Mesh Then collision with cloth doesn'T work in UE?
We have a feature called Collision Filter that can solve this issue. You can find detailed instructions on this feature in the User Guide at the bottom of our simulator's official website. if it is FBX then yay! But As traditional UE cloth settings you may simulate of course, Aswe've seen that controlling parts such for not confronting confusing issues I think we must model cloth in Style3D...

I was looking for an alternative to Mevelous. It's a great program. More reasonable price, sufficient features. I will introduce this soon. It would be nice to support other languages as well.

i saw a tutorial when delete shoes but avatar keeps its pose, when i delete shoes avatar's foot become flat and also boots cage makes model's pants weird. how to deactivate shoes cage?

Hi, Simulator is an animation solver tool, while your requirement pertains to modeling software, so you should turn to Atelier. It is a clothing modeling software, and in the next version update, it will support the merge option for model export.
Interesting... but perpetual license or pay-to-own license, in the fashion of other softwares like Embergen could be welcome, rental only is a big no-no, and the enterprse license is too high for small studios with a small team, just for simualtions and for creation. Could be a good alternative to Marvelous Designer, but you should separate from their business practices to get all the market that is avoiding it and trying to get rid of it, as soon as something better comes out many people will jump off, but the licenses should be better and with more options.

I have applied heavy embroidery velvet long skirt and net veil on my avatar, In Style3D Atelier the vertex count goes above lakhs for full garment, During importing SMD file it always shows Vertex number is higher so I have to work with particle distance to make it less vertex count. Is it is ok? Particle distance - 20 Face count - 82529 vertex count - 42666 Particle distance - 10 Face count - 324923 vertex count - 165157
This is a bit too high. We recommend keeping the Vertex count within 50,000. Of course, this also depends on the computer's hardware. If the computer has a high configuration, you can have a bit more, but still try to avoid exceeding that by too much.
What role does Particle distance play? Does it makes cloths loose fitting for avatar when it is higher in number? or it is just related with garment simulation with animation? Because one of your tutorial says vertex count must be less then 40,000
Particle distance refers to the distance between vertices on the garment mesh. A smaller particle distance indicates more vertices per unit area, so particle distance can be understood as vertex density, which affects model accuracy.
How to achieve this kind of cloth simulation? Is this single cache recording? Do we have to render it first to bring it in the environment or we can directly use the cache in sequencer for our scene?
Sure, though we currently do not support Linux systems, our technical team do have plans to develop a version that supports Linux. Once released, we will promptly announce it on RU-vid.
@@style3dcg I suggest the Flatpak technology since that is universally accepted by every linux distributions out there and, since it has a dependency structure containerized, even if distributions use different libraries for the software to work, the flatpak format uses its own versions inside a container, so it doesn't conflict or share with system dependencies and works flawlessly. And is easily instalable by a button in the application store distributed by the Flathub servers.

Oh wow, it even has Texel Density settings for the UV's nice. I am wondering though if the Quads play nice along seams? Marvelous Designer makes a mess of that, forcing you to retopologize in another software anyway.
