I generally try to get permission, but it's not always possible - if your band is here and you're not happy just let me know and I'll take it down!
Damn, I wish I had been there. This should have been televised every night as Sparks made album history. So much to them and the band respect for such an epic feat. A great song too!
Think I've watched this and Duncan's story of Scruff several times a year since the upload. So many things come along and touch the "soul" of punk music, and it's a rare and powerful thing to expose, which only happens now and again, but this gets there. Truly. Duncan Redmonds is the beating heart of punk music. And this is an incredible moment. I'm glad I've been able to enjoy it over the years, and I'll be back again.
I arranged this gig and the Sister TUTS Earthbound gig at The Victoria in Derby. Whilst the two gigs were dedicated to the late great Dave Allen aka C5, immortalised by TV Smith in the song Backstage Bob, I chose this actual song as a thank you to my best mate Smit, who actually bought this wonderful brewery in Elland.
It was awesome Alan my old friend. I miss you buddy. Thank you for this bootleg video version of me singing with my favourite singer-songwriter and bass player in the world. “I stand between the two and it’s GREAT!”
For the Kimono, Propaganda and Indiscreet shows, I'd have considered remortgaging the house. You couldn't have paid me enough to turn up for this album though.
I totally agree with you! Especially Russells VOICE is live AMAZING! !! I love the album version too but live in my opinion Russells VOICE always at has BEST! !
