No preamble, no talking, just After Effects tutorials featuring its most common and basic features, done in real time with little to no editing. Videos that get straight to the point of how to make something happen in AE. Concise and bite-sized videos for busy motion graphics artists and editors that don't have time to view hours and hours of slow, cumbersome and self-aggrandizing tutorials. Any footage or images used were sourced from the copyright free websites of pexels.com, pixabay.com or created by me. Thank you for viewing, like and subscribe!
Hello! I'm a student in Korea, and I'm teaching myself after-effects. I'm writing like this because there's a part where I get stuck in the middle of studying while watching the video you posted. If you look at the part going from 2:28 to 2:29, the guard position changes right away, but I couldn't find the reason why I played the video slowly. Can you explain it in detail?
Pressing the 'page up' or 'page down' key will move the timeline indicator one frame back or forward, if you have keyframes in place, pressing 'j' or 'k' will move the indicator line directly onto that keyframe. Hope this helps, and thank you for watching! 😄
free3d.com seems to be a good source, though they have monetized models, they have free ones too. If you have element 3d, there's a small starter pack of models, including the alarm clock I used. Thanks for watching! 😄
Yes, you can use light to create real shadows. Be sure to turn on 'accept shadows' & 'accepts lights' on all the layers you create. Here's my tutorial about casting shadows with light: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OTIh-sKBaX0.html Thanks for watching! 😄
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the support. To do that, make the 'End' parameter go from 0% to 100%, instead of the 'Start' parameter. Hope this helps!
As a preset, you can adjust the length of the layer itself for the total time it's up on screen, and then decide how many frames you want the fade out and in to be. Thanks for watching! 😄
Thank you for watching! 😄 Yes, I agree. I think subtitles would be the way to go, I'm not very good at voiceovers. I'll give subtitles a try on my next videos 😄
I think it was the 2018 or 2019 version at the time I made this, but since I upgraded AE it's definitely less stable. I do miss the days when software use to come in a box and we could use it for years and years. Nowadays with software essentially required to be upgraded yearly, sometimes because of the OS itself being forced to upgrade, stability is always an issue.
@@aejustthebasics completely agree i hate 2024 and 2023 really.. pirating 2021 at the moment just because it was so much more stable than the newer ones, and less slugish
